Chlorine, Bromine are your best friends when it comes to pools and hot tubs.... Fluorine works really well too, but it is a bit harsh...

but the best yet is chlorine trifluoride ( ClF3) really nasty stuff...

Chlorine trifluoride - Wikipedia

heres an excerpt... btw hypergolic means it will make things burn intensely ( its an extreme oxidizer even tho oxygen isnt needed)

It is, of course, extremely toxic, but that's the least of the problem. It is hypergolic with every known fuel, and so rapidly hypergolic that no ignition delay has ever been measured. It is also hypergolic with such things as cloth, wood, and test engineers, not to mention asbestos, sand, and water—with which it reacts explosively. It can be kept in some of the ordinary structural metals—steel, copper, aluminum, etc.—because of the formation of a thin film of insoluble metal fluoride which protects the bulk of the metal, just as the invisible coat of oxide on aluminum keeps it from burning up in the atmosphere. If, however, this coat is melted or scrubbed off, and has no chance to reform, the operator is confronted with the problem of coping with a metal-fluorine fire. For dealing with this situation, I have always recommended a good pair of running shoes.
In today's world, I know of a whole bunch of people who you could dunk in a vat of that stuff wholesale and they wouldn't be any cleaner for it when they were hauled out.

I run an old copy of MS Office. It's Office 2000. Been using it for 17 years. Never had problems with it. Now Word opens but then closes itself within seconds. Actually, I can open the program but as soon as I go to open a file with it is when it closes itself. Excel still opens though it closed itself once (only once). No warnings. No red flags. No flashing lights. No explanations. It works it works it works it works it works it works it works it works it works it works it works it don't work! Just like that. So maybe it will fix itself. If not, I'll use Apache.

Sometimes technology can really suck. :)

And another thing. There are websites that FireFox will not open (or they open but do not function). Chrome will open them, but not FireFox. Two examples. 1) My MLB team websites like the White Sox. Says the owner of the website has not configured it correctly and is not secure, blah, blah, blah... 2) Sears Parts Direct opens the website but when I go to click on an assembly diagram the cursor just spins endlessly. I find it hard to believe either one of these websites are honkytonk. MLB and Sears? Not buying it. If it were Stosh and Stosh Elixir and Magic Potion, Inc. I could understand. But not well known, heavily accessed websites. Just wondering if FireFox is oversensitive.

Pizza on its way.... beer already poured into a frosty mug.... now to decide on which movie to watch!! :w00t:
I just picked up a BluRay copy of Man On Fire. I love that movie! I keep a smallish library of movies I like to watch over and over. That was one I wanted.

I find it the opposite.... Google etc wont open websites but Firefox will... in fact, Google wont even list the websites when searched... and Firefox finds them....

maybe you have too many security settings on in Firefox...

strange things about movies... some you can watch over and over again and always enjoy them... and then there are others and all you have to do is read the title and you instantly remember it and say ... naaaawwww not tonite.
Exactly! I don't care to watch 90% of the movies I see more than once. Then there are some I could watch every few years and enjoy it. Then there are some I could watch every year. Man On Fire is one of those. So is Shawshank, Gladiator, U-571, The Bourne Trilogy, and Gran Torino/Million Dollar Baby (either one...they are similar).

I could probably uninstall Office 2000 and reinstall it. But I have no idea where the last update left off and how critical they are. It would be risky but I may not have a choice. I know the version has not been supported for quite some time. This is what happens when you drive a clunker. The thing could just quit at any moment.

Im into the alien series, Harry Potter, Walle, anything done by Del Torre... ( Pans Labarinth)... 5th Element is another one thats a multi watch... sheesh... and theres about 100 more too... I guess I like movies :)
I'm into the alien series too. Just watched all four of them a few months ago. Now there's a newer one out in the last year I haven't seen yet. Also just watched Prometheus (the Alien prequel). Prometheus has the best surround sound I ever heard. Great visuals too. U-571 has excellent surround sound as well with the depth charges. Love the first two Alien movies. Third one really grew on me and I like that one near as much. Fourth one was pretty bad. Like Lord of the Rings too.

Im still using office 97
And I thought I was a dinosaur. Why does your older version work and mine doesn't? Not fair! :)
