wifey made some RedBeansNRice for dinner... and to compliment it to the Nth degree you need to add in a side order of "pickled" jalepeno, califlower, carrot, garlic, okra, onion tidbits and habenero that have been soaking for the last 13 yrs... yup, since hurricane Katrina... ( lost my original batch due to Katrina that I started when I was 22 y/o 1980- 2005 ergo 25 y/o batch of goodness) only difference in this batch is it has a dried ghost pepper ( actually 1/2) in the mix

lets just say... it will catch your attention in a hurry ;)
the califlower and carrots adsorb more heat than the jalepenos do... odd how they capture more heat than a pepper will :)

its going to be interesting in the morning....:cry:

Evening......Unboxed the bed base and put the brackets on. So it won't take long to finish when I get the old bed out. Also went to the AT&T store and upgraded to a Galaxy S8 Active and unlimited plan. That will add about $20 to my bill. But it gives me a $15 discount on Direct TV now and adds HBO for free which would be $5 if I added it So it's a wash....So I've spent the last few hours removing or disabling apps. Took me a few weeks to get the S4 to my liking. They always bloat these things with a lot of junk You don't need or want. And a bunch of them you have to pay to use...

and to really mess with your head.... ear shape...

Fascinating stuff. It reminds me of a nature show I saw years ago about the owl and their super sense of hearing. For example. One ear is lower than the other so that not only can they detect where sound is coming from horizontally, but also vertically. This vid shows it. And a bear has extremely good hearing too. They can't see to save their lives but their sense of smell and hearing is what makes them an apex predator.

why am I plagued with so many questions and not enuf answers ?? ;)
I dunno. :)

I used to know everything when I was a teenager. And now that I am 40 years removed, the only thing I know for certain is I don't know anything.

He who knows and know he knows - he is a fool.

He who knows not and knows he knows not - he is wise.

Sweet! You’ll be able to stretch out on that comfy new bed and enjoy that new tech. Good stuff!

Morning...…

I love Black-eyed Susans! Had a lovely patch of these at my old place. They were transplants gifted to me by my former SIL whose name was Susan. Sadly, she ended her life in Sept. 2013. Made these bittersweet for me and the pics I have of how they flourished in the flower beds even more precious.

I need a government job....

went to get my drivers license renewed.... went to the first place and there were about 300 people waiting... decided to skip that and go to NOLa city court and take care of a court date... got that done and passed by the DL place and the parking lot was still packed... The DL place I went to first has 25 desks to process the crowds... and only 3 of them were being used... 3 out of 25 desks occupied and 300 people waiting... o_O

so I decided to run out th the other DMV near where I live... I walk in and there are about 30 people waiting, so I snag a pull number tabie thingy and begin to wait ( my # was F09) about 10 minutes go by and they call out E60... ummmmm whaa?? but anyway... Im standing by the number thingy and someone walks up to it and places her number tabie thingy on the post the machine is mounted to... and she walked out... I look at the tabie thingy and on it is E87... I picked it up
:)
still took over 2 hrs to get my DL renewed...

The place by the house has 6 desks and 3 people working them... so basically it took 140 minutes to process 27 people...
basically 15 minutes per person... and of that 15 minutes I would say about 3 minutes is actually conversing/interacting with the clerk.... soooo that means 12 minutes is spent on waiting for the clerks to wander around and chitchat with the other clerks... effectively they are getting about 20% work done in the time given and are earning 100% of a paycheck

wish I got paid 100% to do 20% of my work required...

Had a friend who just got back from a week-long vacation. She complained to me that her mailbox was stuffed despite contacting her post office to put a hold on the mail. She told me she called the supervisor of her post office and complained. I wrote her back and told her she wasted her time. The postal workers there don't care because they know they will never be fired. And her supervisor doesn't care either. Hope it made her feel better to vent because it wont do anything that will change. I want to be careful not to paint all government workers with a broad brush. I'm certain there are good ones. But collectively, they fall short.

The DMV near me is hiring. Daughter is considering it. They do not pay anything out of pocket for medical. No deductibles. 8-5 job Monday through Friday. Tons of holidays they don't work...

Only requirement is customer service experience. Since she is a bartender she has plenty of customer service experience. I just don't think she is cut out for an office type job.

We'll see...

She finally got her license changed from Michigan to Florida today.

if she was/is a bartender, shes use to hustling her buttoff to serve the patrons... the culture shock from going into a "government job" would be too much for her and I would bet she would get bored in a few weeks once she has gotten over the learning curve... and having to work around all the same ole people who dont really care about the "customer" would more than likely rub her the wrong way... bartenders are people persons, lively, outgoing in most cases...

Ive seen the " back end" of post offices and they are dirty messy and require a fair amount of heavy lifting.... and generally, the attitude of postal workers is pathetic from what Ive seen and experienced....

but thats my view point....
