just spent an hour and 15 minutes waiting to see the dermatologist who asked me to be present... they set up an appointment yesterday for a counsultation for 10am today... ergo I had to take off of work (and not planned a week in advance to my employers dismay) and loose out on 2 decent runs...
anyway, original plans were to be off the clock from 9:30 to 11:30 to take care of this visit... 11:00 rolls around and I go and ask the receptionist of how much more time will it be before the dr. will see me, she replied about another 1-2 hrs, mind you now, Ive already been waiting a bit over an hour.. and to have to wait another 2 hrs just to talk.... ummm not happening. So I cancelled the visit.
and to top it off... they wanted to charge me 35$ for the cancellation... I had to explain in detail that I didnt set up the visit, the Dr. did... the receptionist was now at a total loss as to how to handle this situation... they finally came to the conclusion that there would not be any cancellation fees....
called work to let them know I am available... at the moment, "nothing is available"
why is it that Dr.s can want you to be there for a certain time and make you wait for hours but yet if you walk in 20 minutes late they charge you and cancel the appointment and reschedule another a couple of weeks later?????
what is happening here?? is there no more honor in trying to keep things "right".... ? between Dr.s, DMVs, and Post offices... sheesh....
