So many tears today. More to come for us all as life moves forward and we learn to live with the loss of Robin.

On April 29, 2014, Robin was facing surgery - her first for the disease that took her too soon.

HHV had just gotten its own forum, and The Big Thread (Part 2) was closing out in the HHV Army sub-forum as Part 3 was ready and waiting here. Robin wrote the last post of Part 2:

................

We never thought that we would have such a special place way back when Bronze started this little thread about a fairly new e-liquid vendor. Wow. We've come a LONG way BABY!!

The final post for this thread:

The memories that are tucked away in this thread are priceless. The friendships that we have made, the laughter, the tears, the gossip, the support but most of all - the Love that is written on this thread. May others find this down in the archives and just know by reading that this is a very special group of people.

I invite you to come check out our new place
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...thers-heavenly-vapes-big-thread-part-3-a.html and get to know some awesome people. :)

Looking around these rooms is a bit sad but still happy. Some great memories have been shared here and now we are moving to a new place to make more memories.

With all my love,

Robin

Thank you LA for posting that. :)

Papaw, you are still up? I have had too much on my mind, and I am just now somewhat sleepy. I've been doing some backups, and it is taking much longer than I anticipated. I even made another rescue disk. Well, it isn't finished yet. It is taking FOREVER it seems. I'm gonna have to let it run until the computer sleeps.

@LAwaters thank you. Although it leaves me a big sobbing mess this fine Monday morning.yesteday I was just wrapping my head around the whole concept. Today seems to hurt more.

I spent yesterday out and about enjoying the cooler weather at a pimpkin patch with my youngest and her 2 other 17 YO friends. Hard to feel lousy with silly teenagers in pumpkin patch.

Last night I logged in to FB and going the old HHV page, the one we created bc there was a panic of a 3 day down time or something like that. Not much content but there was the old gang.

Anyway, I stumbled into a very long ago member here, (Buggsy, or something like that, her real name is Connie), and we chatted for a while. She left ECF a long time ago but had remained FB friends with Robin so she had posted about that, so others would know. So that was a little nostalgia I had going on. It was nice.

So happy to see @PapawBrett wish us a blessed day. The comfort those words give me everyday, I just can’t explain.

Heya army,
Just got home from the hospital yesterday to learn our beloved Robin passed away way to early in life.
My condolences to Rick and the rest of her family.
I hope it was nothing serious that you were in the hospital for. Very sad news to come home to for sure.

It was for repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm, the original from years ago was failing-apparently what was used then was recalled for many failures,I had not received notice, had ct scan with contrast Friday, vascular surgeon called abut an hour later and said get to hospital NOW,turns out aneurysm was up to 9cm which he said they rarely see as most burst before reaching that size!
And yes,I was very saddened to see Robin had passed away.
I'm off work for a week to recover.

Thank God you got such prompt care. Glad the repair was successful. That’s really scary. Rest up and take it easy.

DD I am so surprised to hear you had the aortic abdominal aneurysm. A very close family member had that, and he didn't make it. It was very tough on the family for sure. Please take care of yourself and follow your doctor's orders to the letter. I am relieved you are okay now. It is a blessing they caught it in time. Please keep us updated!!!

Leave your remembrances and fond memories of Robin here. We plan to pass them on to Rick. Link others as we encourage all of Robin's friends on ECF to post.

Remembering Robin

Bronze that was a beautiful thing to do. I still feel numb, and I am just not ready to say more than I already have at the moment.

If anyone is running Win10, I would definitely back up everything you can before the fall update. It has had several issues, and they pulled it. Also their disk cleanup also includes the downloads folder. Make sure you don't include that one. When I got up this morning, the rescue drive was finally ready. I spent all day on backing up, it is a very slow process. After you get that update (whenever it comes out again) go over your settings with a fine tooth comb. I hear they change many of your settings in this major update.
