Bronze that was a beautiful thing to do. I still feel numb, and I am just not ready to say more than I already have at the moment.

I woke up in the middle of the night and managed to squeak out mine while I was half asleep. Took maybe 15 minutes then went back to sleep. Woke up and was back to being numb again. Still am.

It was for repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm,the original from years ago was failing-apparently what was used then was recalled for many failures,I had not received notice,had ct scan with contrast Friday,vascular surgeon called abut an hour later and said get to hospital NOW,turns out aneurysm was up to 9cm which he said they rarely see as most burst before reaching that size!
And yes,I was very saddened to see Robin had passed away.
I'm off work for a week to recover.

Oh wow! That was scary. Thank the Lord this was discovered and taken care of. Rest up and take care of yourself. We can’t lose another family member. Sending hugs and prayers!

Same here. Swinging crazily from crying to being numb. Being thankful I knew her and she’s not in pain anymore to being angry and wanting to scream “NOOOOOO! This did NOT happen!”

It helped a bit. Still stunned and can’t believe she’s gone.

I did the same yesterday except I couldn’t sing along. Just cried and cried.

Here's to hating Windows.

If anyone is running Win10, I would definitely back up everything you can before the fall update. It has had several issues, and they pulled it. Also their disk cleanup also includes the downloads folder. Make sure you don't include that one. When I got up this morning, the rescue drive was finally ready. I spent all day on backing up, it is a very slow process. After you get that update (whenever it comes out again) go over your settings with a fine tooth comb. I hear they change many of your settings in this major update.

In an effort to honor Robin I have made my first appointment with a general NP for a “physical” and get the ball rolling on a colonoscopy now that I’m over 50 and all (and true transparency here, my mom had colon cancer 6 years ago which is when I was supposed to go). So, shame on me, but I’m making it right, better late then never.

Hey! That’s actually probably true. The thing is that being around all those people everyday, it’s easy for me to get treated and scripts written without actually going in anywhere (just like a z Pack or something like that), being I work in OB I’m very attentive to all those female appointments, just never needed a regular Dr before. So I just went with whoever was closest. I’m healthy so I don’t need to run around and find the best, just get me in, schedule a few things, run a few labs and see you in a few years. Well that’s what I’m expecting.

Good luck Pop! LOL - I've only ever got as far as Provari, REO and kayfun, (and they were all achieved through much kickin' and screamin') but now every blessed thing that's the rage sounds like an abbreviation for some or other "thing that does this" on a Martian UFO control panel. For example, never mind the hardware, I have no clue what nicotine salts are and why people choose them over liquid Just a big "DUH" printed on my forehead.

HOWEVER! I wasn't "DUH" enough NOT to stop Windows in its malevolent "time for "us" to see everything on your computer" malware. I put the brakes on that stinking update in a heartbeat, and it's staying that way.

I feel like I’m missing something regarding the windows update. I don’t mess with my computer much. I open google chrome, check my emails, and that’s about it. Sometimes I shop on amazon or research something. Then I close my laptop and that’s it. Windows hasn’t asked me to update anything, I’m guessing it should?

It’s working fine so I’m not going to go looking for trouble.

The default settings are that "windows" gets to supposedly update itself and trounce through your computer automatically, any time it wants to. The latest word is that it is taking it upon itself to delete items you have saved in your personal documents and downloads folders as "unnecessary".
