. . . I used those Nic lozenges at the airports. They do help. . . .

I've used those in the 2mg version. The 4mg version makes my throat feel like it's closing up. And yes they do help.

It's been a month since I've vaped. I think I'm more hooked on nicotine gum than I ever was on cigarettes or vaping. o_O Just trying to get past those overwhelming urges to vape. Then I can start cutting back on the gum.

Pappy, I wish you luck on quitting the gum. I don't think I will move to trying the nic gum at all. To be honest, I am not trying to quit vaping. For a while I was doing good at dropping the nic level. But stress has caused me to go back to 12mg most of the time. The last time I made a purchase though, I did get a bottle or two of 9mg. I was using some 6mg a good while back. I had 12mg for emergencies during that time, if needed. If things straighten up for me, (which I don't really see happening for a while) I might be able to drop down to 3mg eventually. If I can drop to 3mg in the future, it is possible I could quit vaping.

then why dont I feel fondness for the ex wife???

Because with certain people it takes a really really long time for their absence to make the fondness grow enough for us to be able to feel it. For particular other people, we simply don’t live long enough for that to happen.

I tried that gum several times to quit cigs. It gave me the hiccups. It doesn’t help that I’ve never liked chewing gum. It did get me through a number of flights, and an all day meeting or two. I’d miss vaping a lot too. You’re doing really well though!

Nicotine has shown some possibilities for helping cognitive function. Healthwise, it affects us a lot like caffeine. But I know how it is when you simply want to quit and not be dependent.

I'm not a gum chewer so went with the lozenges in 4mg. Had DH break some in half for the trip home because they are too strong for me.

ahhh... unless you mean that doing a whole one ( to completion) gives you a Nic OD

@76bridget so glad you had a nice visit! Very sweet of you to fill his fridge with food.

I had one heck of a week at work and am taking the whole day to do only things that I feel like doing. I can be productive tomorrow.

But ... but ... but ... The Seahawks are playing tomorrow ! ;)

Darn it, you’re right. My do nothing day should be tomorrow. Maybe after a few more cups of coffee. Right now I can’t get myself out of bed. My legs are still aching from running all over the darn hospital for 3 days (averaging 14,000 steps, which did not include walking when my phone was not in my scrub pocket).

Heating up the hot tub in hopes that a good soak followed by a cool shower perks me up and gets me moving just a little.

It was quite lovely this morning with a beautiful blue sky. Now there are planes out there spraying who knows what, and we have rain and thunderstorms predicted. I drove by the river yesterday, and the level was alarmingly high. The ground is still pretty saturated here, so that is aggravating. So this has been going on for two months now, absolutely ridiculous.

Normally the mosquitoes this time of year are not an issue at all. All of the rain we've had has made them a problem, even with the colder nights.

I'm probably just going to rest a lot today. I'm trying to catch up on the news. There are so many stories to read now, wonders never cease. I'm glad I am not a young person today, that is the jest of it for me. Reading the current events is almost like a sci-fi series these days.

Got mine down to 6mg. Tried 3mg but was vaping more because of it. So I stick with 6mg. As for quitting? If I do I do. Not really thinking about it.

Afternoon...Been up since 4am. Had to because that cup tea caused major sweating. So been to the store and other than washing the bedding I'm doing nothing. Changed my mind on the toaster oven. I'd need a bigger stand to put it on and the cooler temps this week remind me I need a new radiant heater. Need to see if I can find one that will last more than one winter. I've had a couple of these and I really like it. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-Radiant-Quartz-Heater-DF1511-AW-White/929613110 But it can't get through one winter before the darn high temp sensor makes it stop working on high. Have to do some looking.

We have been using porcelain heaters in the hallway near the House Bath, and in the Master Bath for several years now. I was just quoted $4.40 / gallon for propane so we will continue until it gets really cold. But our ceramic heater are both several years old.
