As a matter of fact I was just looking at this one.. https://www.menards.com/main/heatin...941-c-5617.htm?tid=8230968435441297766&ipos=3
My house sits on a concrete slab. So I can have the heat up but the air by the floor will still feel cold. And I only use a heater when I here and up.
I'm not sure about any other brand because I have only used the Edenpures. My dad bought them for me back when they were about $500. My house is wonky. The main part of my house was built late 1890's. Back half was added on in the 1960's, as cheaply and crappily as possible as I have had the misfortune of finding out. The front half has a crawlspace, but the back is on slab, and there's always a draft in between the main house and the addition. With our old furnace it was always freezing in here, and I just couldn't afford to keep turning up the thermostat. The Edens came in handy as a supplement on the worst days (you have OH so I think we're on the same page here), and also in the spring and fall when you need heat, but just don't want to run the whole furnace. Our new furnace is great, keeps a steady temp, and my house is actually comfortable for the first time since we moved here in 2001. Still hanging on to my Edens though, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if/when these finally go. I hope you find something good that works for you and keeps you warm!
