As a matter of fact I was just looking at this one.. https://www.menards.com/main/heatin...941-c-5617.htm?tid=8230968435441297766&ipos=3
My house sits on a concrete slab. So I can have the heat up but the air by the floor will still feel cold. And I only use a heater when I here and up.

I'm not sure about any other brand because I have only used the Edenpures. My dad bought them for me back when they were about $500. My house is wonky. The main part of my house was built late 1890's. Back half was added on in the 1960's, as cheaply and crappily as possible as I have had the misfortune of finding out. The front half has a crawlspace, but the back is on slab, and there's always a draft in between the main house and the addition. With our old furnace it was always freezing in here, and I just couldn't afford to keep turning up the thermostat. The Edens came in handy as a supplement on the worst days (you have OH so I think we're on the same page here), and also in the spring and fall when you need heat, but just don't want to run the whole furnace. Our new furnace is great, keeps a steady temp, and my house is actually comfortable for the first time since we moved here in 2001. Still hanging on to my Edens though, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if/when these finally go. I hope you find something good that works for you and keeps you warm!

    I have changed my DNS server again . I was using Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 but I found out that they were logging DNS request's supposedly to prevent attacks on website's they host and for usage analytics . I don't give a crap for their reasons , they're collecting info period . I switched over to a DNS that doesn't log period . It's just as fast so Cloudflare can shove their data where the sun don't shine . For anyone that's interested .

    I’m gonna look into it. I forgot who my DNS is. Think I got it from David.

    Yes Cloudflare was the one I switched too from Google. Guess it works I'm still online..
    I had some slow downs on 1.1.1.1 for a day a week or so ago , server issues on their part . When I went to automatic on the dns address selection my speed returned so the dns was the culprit , started looking for alternatives and didn't like what I found out about Cloudflare in the process .

    Thanks Retic. It is always something isn't it? I did not know Cloudflare was logging. I know my isp has given me trouble with it, especially at first. I don't trust any of them at this point.

    Looks like you have to have IPv6 enabled to use that. Maybe I'm wrong.

    D'aaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwww! :wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub:

    And that’s why my phone is full! She keeps on being too cute for me NOT to take a pic. Or ten.

    For the record, she only had a little bit, half meat, half cheese. It’s a rare event so she was especially happy. I rarely eat that food anymore. And almost never give any to her. :)

    What are these heater thingies thou allst speaketh of? I DO remember back in the olden days of heating a bed with a lightbulb in a cage :rolleyes: and also a friend of mine got a real bad burn from the old stone bottles they used to prewarm the bed with. Many of the houses in my village are from the 1700's so most were warm where there was a fireplace or a paraffin stove. But upstairs? Nuthin'. I recall well scraping the ice off the inside of the window to see what the day was looking like when I woke up. Brrrrrr

    This desert clime does bring colder temps than I expected. What’s the average coldest temp you endure over there in tropical paradise?

    average I'd say would be 70 at night, maybe 78 during the day ...for about 4-8 weeks if we're lucky then its back to normal... :D
