That's how it is with every household project. Go to fix something and you need new tools.

Good morning Army!

It’s true. Also, set aside a few hours and it will take all day and then some. Although I did do one project recently that took less time than expected and only used 2 tools and I had both. I disassembled a pine chair I had on my balcony. Desert climes eat outdoor wood furniture in no time flat.

Destruction is easier than construction.

@LAwaters that sounds delicious! I cooked up a few things today too. Minestrone soup (from scratch, not just opening a can! Lol) and I dove into a gingerbread loaf, using fresh ginger. That came out very nicely.

I like cooking on Sundays when football is on in the background.

My daughters boyfriend helped me put up all the outdoor lights, my shopping is completed for the holidays. I have 1 box to mail tomorrow and that’s it! So glad to have gotten that done early this year.

Yummy! I may have to try making gingerbread loaf. Making a soup from scratch is a time-consuming labor of love. We spent our Sunday’s similarly! But I had MasterChef UK on in the background.

I take a job figure how long is should take, multiple that by 2.5 to account for utter incompetence, add another 0.5 to account for a missing tool/socket that I can no longer find but will find the day after the job is complete then I have it about right.

Sums it up nicely. I also have to add the hours I spend watching videos to have an idea how it’s done. Then a few more hours watching videos to fix what I messed up. Big Adventures In DIY Land!

This was my overly ambitious bowl. The recipe called for pinenuts, but I’m not a fan. I used pistachios instead. That’s the topping and there was some in the stuffing too. Garlic, Parmesan and sage in there with the squash

And browned butter. Everything is better with browned butter on it. :)

Lori, about a substitute for the pine nuts (which I personally love!): next time try using roasted pecans.

And call me when it's ready!:w00t::pervy:

That would be yummy! Sadly I’m allergic to pecans & walnuts. I saw some honey roasted pecans at the market today and they looked so tasty. I bought pistachios instead. ;)

For your portion, I will be sure to have pine nuts and pecans and you get to choose.

The Fuchai mod arrived today from Gorilla Vapes in NJ. Great sale. They shipped the same day. They also sent me the model with the extra battery door for the price of the one without. A great bargain made better. Now I’m all set for a triple or quad coil rig.

Yeah, not happening.

The mod is great. Small, light and with a nice matte finish on the zinc alloy.
