PB and Kona... this is what Saturday mornings are made for
Hey Arm! Did my house and car chores for the day. Tried fixing the weedwacker. Ripped the carb out, tore it down, cleaned the snot out of it. Made no difference. It's deadski. 2009 - 2018 RIP.
I can get it to start. It kinda chugs. Then it will speed up a little then go back to chugging back n forth then after about a minute it will sputter and die. Tried another plug and it wouldn’t even start. I know it’s something simple but I don’t feel like dropping $10 here $20 there when it’s already in the twilight of its life at 9 years old. Never liked that trimmer. It is overkill for what I need. 33cc and heavy. That thing has trashed my legs more than I care to think. Really flings the debris. I’m sorta looking for an excuse to get a new one.had a lawn mower that befuddled me to death... it would start run 2 minutes and die... thought it was fuel issues, did all the carb work, tank cleaning etc... turned out that the sparkplug had a crack in the center post and when it heated up it shorted out inside the core... I spent hours working on the SOB and never considered the sparkplug since it would fire when tested off of the engine ( hi pressure chamber conditions caused the spark to propegate in the core and not at the tip...)

DaVinci Code -- hurl, puke, gaaaag
I cannot begin to describe what a sack of puerile, nauseating, LYING codswallop and horse hockey that idiot "book" and "movie" are.
You have been warned. Carry on.
You’re right. The fuel lines could be old and crispy. I replaced lines on my neighbor’s trimmer some years ago and it fixed his problem. But it was obvious. What it boils down to is it could be a number of different things. Fuel lines, primer bulb, spark plug, carb, etc. the decision is do I want to keep spending $5 - $50 each time before I finally fix it or just deep six the 9 year old jalopy I never liked in the first place and replace it with a brand new $200+/- trimmer?General, you might think about replacing the fuel lines. At 9 years old, it could have a crack in a fuel line. This ethanol gas we get these days is hard on handheld equipment.
I've got an Echo trimmer that's about 12 years old and I just had to replace the fuel lines and the fuel line grommet for the gas tank.
You know what they say about arguing over politics or religion.Oh, and last night I watched "I am Number Four" again.
Any body want to vent over that one ....

Sometimes I wonder if some people still see the difference between the two ...
