I don't know if my mom will be released from the hospital as soon as they originally thought. She is still better than she was when she went in though.

Our roads are clear here and hubby was able to get to work yesterday.
My newest grandson was born yesterday and is in ICU. When he was born he had fluid on his lungs and was put into an incubator in ICU immediately.. this morning his condition seems to be worsening, new xray this morning shows he has a collapsed lung..
He's a boy, 7 pounds even and 19-1/2 inches..
If everyone who prays would pray for him I'd appreciate it very much.. His name is Jackson..
Mom is doing well physically, emotionally the kids (the mom and dad both) are not so hot..

Babies are a whole lot more resilient than we think they are. Grateful that he’s in the NIcU so they can promptly identify any issues and help him thru these struggles. Hugs

Okay so a quick update after some examination time and speaking in length to the doctors..
His lung isn't fully collapsed, its only partially collapsed. He has a tear in his lung, and is leaking air into his chest cavity. They are of course keeping him in the ICU, and keeping an eye on him very closely. The air which is leaking into his chest cavity isn't close to his heart right now, so they are just keeping an eye on it. If it starts getting near his heart they will take further action, for now they are doing nothing, keeping an eye on him and figuring this will heal.. they said we wont really know any more for anywhere from 24 hours to 5 days..
They are releasing my DIL from the hospital this afternoon so she can stay in the room with the baby.
Otherwise, they are saying he is a healthy baby...

It helps to know exactly what is wrong with the little fella. At least they can put together a game plan to deal with it now.
Opinionated, sorry to hear the little one is having a rough go from the start. I will be praying for him.

Evening.....Costco hearing was able to work me in to adjust my aids this afternoon. I'm glad cause they wasn't right since I picked the right one up. Some how the receivers got set to a lower power last time. They sound better but only time will tell. If not I'll do it again.
Definitely praying for your mom and for your grandsons!

Thank you for those who prayed for my family. My grandsons have a virus, and can't hold anything down. Thankfully there is no fever. I hate it when little ones are sick, especially when they can't tell you what is wrong. They just turned 3 months old, so they are still quite young.
Mom had a very bad day, but then about 4:30 this afternoon she got a little better. I don't know when they want to release her yet, but she is going to have to have round the clock care for a while. Last time she had home health care come check on her, and give her a little physical therapy. My daughter helped me. This time I guess I will be pretty much handling it all. I am going to see if home health can help her again. The low salt makes you do weird things, and it messes with your mind too. That part is especially troubling. I am pushing to have her more stable before they release her. I won't put her in any facility, she would go downhill if I did that. She needs to be at home, so I will do all I can to make that happen. It is going to be rough for a while though.
