It’s not Christmas until Elvis sings about it, eh? :)
Indeed! The dude could flat out sing, huh?

We keep our heat on 68 at night, perfect!

Waiting on (kid's) truck repairs, into hour 3 now. I'm betting they finish it by lunch time. I'm out of snacks so I sure hope so.. For the mechanics.. Upper ball joints and 1 lower (replaced the other lower one last month) 350k miles on the Tundra..
I'd love to see you under a truck turning wrenches. Cussin', throwing tools, grease on your face, busted up knuckles, ...

Hey! I thought you liked Bridget!

She deserves better DIY job assignments than that one. Just sayin’.

Hot water and heat are working harmoniously now. Praying it stays that way because the heating system has an integrated check valve. I don’t know if repair of it is possible or if bigger things must be replaced. I’d rather not have to deal with that for a good long while.

Today’s assistant had on a sweatshirt with “Dripping & vaping” on the back. He used to work for a mod company out of Virginia that made cloud competition level mods. They had to move manufacturing out of the country. Turns out he has a room with around $10k worth of gear he’s collected. That might even rival the General’s Bone Box!

He spotted and identified my SMM Serpent from across the room! We talked vaping and bashed to govt regs. It’s good not to be alone in the world. But man, the frustrations.

Afternoon...Well went and got my hair cut. Then to the Anthony Thomas candy store. Needed to get my sister a box of English Toffee for Christmas. Been doing that for years so didn't want to forget it. Yes I picked a dozen assorted pieces for myself. And since the vape shop is next door I bought three packages of cotton bacon. Still had a full pack but now I have four. Last stop was Kroger for food. Only place I plan on going the next few days is my sisters for Christmas Eve and day.

You Tube can be real useful sometimes. Busted the starter rope on the power washer last time I used it. And of course the starter spring got all snotted up too. I haven't farted around with a starter on a small engine since I was a kid. So I found a vid on how the spring is supposed to be situated. Yes, I would have figured it out eventually but it sure is nice to see it first. Saves a lot of time and headaches. BK knows what I'm talking about. It can be entertaining too. Got some Noo Youker. "Just shuv it in thayr and jam the :censored: over till the son of a :censored: don't go no mour." LMAO!

Cripes, there were a few. You keep clicking on stuff and bump into them. Can't find them again. Here's the one that helped the most. Tell me when to wake you up. :)

Yard season goes a good 8-9 months here. Even when the grass quits growing still got 7 weeks of leaf duty. That starts on Nov. 1 and goes to mid December. It seemingly never ends. It would be nice if we had the same specie of tree so the leaves all fall at the same time. Nope. Doesn't work that way. They spread out and it just goes on and on and on.

had the yard done today too... I have 2 huge oak trees and when they dump the leaves  its an instant 9" worth.
I can relate. I used to wait for them all to fall before doing anything about it. It was worse than a blizzard. I quit that. Now I do it more often so it doesn't build up as much. I also burn the leaves in the front instead of hauling them. Too old for hauling. And of course the leaf blower. I want to get one of those Stihl 600 backpacks. They rock!

I'm one of those that thinks I can do anything if I put my mind to it, and watch enough YouTube! We've fixed so much stuff around the house.. but nah.. It was $400 well spent. Oh and the truck only has 273k miles. (pretty sure there's a grammatical error in that first sentence, but going with it..)

LA- glad everything is in working order!

Bronze, I sweep the leaves off the patios and out of the garage but no mowing/bagging/burning leaves.. it would be never ending here. I had a leaf blower once, it died tho and I haven't replaced it.

DH made it home safely, life is good!

Wonderful news! Should be an especially great holiday for you.

Don’t worry about grammar police around here. We’re just always happy when you’re hanging out here. @Bunnykiller might correct your spelling once in a while though.

DIY & YouTube are a helpful combo. But it takes real skill to know when to pay someone else to do a thing.

Ugh! At the holidays too. Yours has my unpleasant expense beat. I hope it’s nothing too awful. I once had 3 crowns done at once. $2500 (no dental insurance) and three weeks of pain. No fun at all.

Hello ecf and HHV fans.

Since May 2018 (when I quit cancer sticks), I've been experimenting flavourless (PG/VG) mixes until I found what "worked well" for my gear (definitely settled on TC sub-ohm).

My next level was adding "that little something" flavour to the mix (to make the experience more enjoyable).
I then found Black Note - blissful experience (except pricing, that is).

As a former rollie-smoker, my go-to BN have become Prelude & Sonata.

* Given Virginia seems my thing, I was wondering which HHV NET favourably compares to Black Note's?
