I can relate. I used to wait for them all to fall before doing anything about it. It was worse than a blizzard. I quit that. Now I do it more often so it doesn't build up as much. I also burn the leaves in the front instead of hauling them. Too old for hauling. And of course the leaf blower. I want to get one of those Stihl 600 backpacks. They rock!

There's a new Stihl backpack blower - the 800x - which is MUCH more powerful than the 600.

There's also a new Echo backpack blower - the 8010 - which is supposed to be even more powerful than the new Stihl 800x.

Hello ecf and HHV fans.

Since May 2018 (when I quit cancer sticks), I've been experimenting flavourless (PG/VG) mixes until I found what "worked well" for my gear (definitely settled on TC sub-ohm).

My next level was adding "that little something" flavour to the mix (to make the experience more enjoyable).
I then found Black Note - blissful experience (except pricing, that is).

As a former rollie-smoker, my go-to BN have become Prelude & Sonata.

* Given Virginia seems my thing, I was wondering which HHV NET favourably compares to Black Note's?

I have no idea. If you send PapawBrett a message, he would most likely know. Dusty would know too, but we rarely see him come in here these days.

When @Bronze stops in, he may have some helpful suggestions. I know he is a fan of five pawns, not sure how much of Black Note he has tried. Or if @PapawBrett drops in.

I can tell you most of us have felt Dark Horse is closest in flavor to a cig. And HHV tobaccos tend to be on the lighter side of tobacco flavors. Bronze can explain the nuances better than I can. And PapawBrett knows tobacco flavor variations better than I do.

EDIT to add:
I used to smoke premium cigs. HHV tobaccos helped me quit because they bring in additional complexities in the flavors. I settled on Dragon’s Fire.

Bronze will have suggestions (I remain silent on the adjective "helpful").

:lol::lol:

I do like the Dragon's Fire I got and it seems to treat coils well.

Hello Army. Here to help a new recruit.
pwrusrcom - Black Notes is a retailer. I glanced over their site, their schtick is 'authenticity'.
Prelude is a Light Virginia tobacco extraction. The website claims the Virginia tobacco was "grown on the sandy plains surrounding the Italian Alps." As a Navy Veteran, I've been to Italy. Several times. I've even crossed the Alps, by train. They are quite majestic. But the only thing I saw surrounding the Italian Alps was the Mediterranean Sea, and the Coastal Cities, like Naples, Rome and Trieste. (nice try). But then again, I did drink a lot of wine while I was there....
Virginia tobacco is naturally sweet, mild, and maybe a touch grassy. You could try HHV's Huntsman.
Sonata is a Dark Virginia Cavendish. The term 'Cavendish' refers to the way the tobacco leaf is cut - the soft part of the leaf is carefully cut away from the stem and veins, producing a richer smoother flavor than a Ribbon Cut or a Pressed Kake. Darker Virginia leafs are most common for this process. Try HHV's Gaia.
I'll be sending more info once I return from taking my dog, Urlacher, to PetSmart. Regular member of this thread know what that means.... I'll contact through the Conversation you started.

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

PW, I can't add much beyond what Pop already said. I have not tried Black Note. They came around after I was burned out sampling dozens and dozens (if not hundreds) of NETs so I can't compare the HHV flavors with any Black Note. But let me say, the best thing you can do with HHV is try some different ones. Pop mentioned Gaia and Huntsman. There are three others that fall in the "grassy" family. They are Dark Horse, Maple, Eh, and one of those Artisan flavors (which one escapes me at the moment). But with HHV I would not limit yourself to just the "grassy" offerings. Try some of their more popular flavors such as Dragon's Fire (probably their most popular), Legend, and Pirate's Booty among others. Give them time of day too. Vape several mls over several days before assessing. Most HHV NETs are rather mysterious so it isn't easy to grasp. But they are most awesome. Trust us! :) Keep us posted.

There's a new Stihl backpack blower - the 800x - which is MUCH more powerful than the 600.

Geez, Pap, I want to blow leaves, not boulders! Them things aint cheap either! Husqvarna makes a killer backpack too. Gets good reviews.

Oh, and I'm caving on my weed wacker. The cheap bastich is coming out in me again. I can't see spending $200+ for another wacker. I know I can fix mine. I'm with you, it's probably gas lines. Have a $6 kit coming today and I'm guessing that will fix it. I tore it apart the other day and the one fuel line looks horrible. Smashed in one spot where it was pinched by some linkage and it also has a bad case of cholesterol. I hate the thing (too heavy and power is overkill) but it does the job just fine. And I can save $200+. I mean, how often does one need a weed wacker?

Nah. Ignore Bronze. :D For someone who's so big on lawns he hates what he calls "grassy flavors" lol. :p Huntsman and Gaia are NOT grassy but they ARE the more heavily flavored HHV tobacco flavours. Dark Horse I find too weak. I can barely taste Dragon's Fire, so if you're just coming off smoking, that one may well be too weeny for you. For an interesting dark flavour, Serendipity is also a must try. Good luck and let us know what you decide!

So much for the weed wacker. The $5.99 gamble did not pay off. All new lines put in and no go. Probably the carb. Cleaned it up best I could, saw no obvious damage but those ports are so small. Cant always tell on gaskets. I'm done with it. Not gonna sink another dime in the thing. So I'm gonna deep six that thing and just get a new one. 9 years from a wacker isn't bad. Never liked it anyway. A 33cc wacker. Really? Thing weighs a ton too. Talk about overkill! Bye!

Thank you all for your suggestions - Given the variety of responses (and my limited resources!), I've now placed an HHV order on a bunch of "inspiring" NETs (namely, I went for Dragon's Fire, Shadow, Serendipity, Heavenly Army, Oompa & Temptation).

Once I try them, I'll share my experiences.

That sounds like a nice assortment to try. I've vaped all of those except the last two and I like all of them to varying degrees. I would also strongly recommend trying Pirates Booty and Legend, both of which were part of my standard rotation (when I was vaping).

Sounds like a trip to the store is in order. And, yes, 9 years from a string trimmer isn't bad at all. I've got an Echo SRM251e that is about 12 - 13 years old and it's still going strong (after replacing the fuel lines), but it was a semi-commercial model.

Don't know what your brand preference is, but I like Echo trimmers (even though I've got several pieces of Stihl equipment and generally like Stihl products). The Echo trimmers come with the SpeedFeed head, which is the greatest invention since USB ports. You can replace the trimmer head on most other trimmers with the SpeedFeed, but it's a $30 purchase that's already included with the Echo trimmers.

Echo is my favorite weed wacker. I got mine at Home Depot. I've had 3 of them.

My son and his wife will be here tomorrow, along with my daughter. We are all going to visit my mother. She has had a setback, and it is too much to get into. She either has pneumonia or a partially collapsed lung. They did do a chest x-ray. Tomorrow, this nightmare has gone on for two solid weeks.

Good points! I’d have to agree on Serendipity too. I just dove back into mine and had forgotten how much I enjoy it. I should grab a lower nic bottle and bring my 15 mg Serendipity down so I can vape it more.

Sounds like an awesome collection of juices to try.. :) Make sure you try out all those using an RDA for ease of changing flavors. If you don't build/aren't using an RDA, you will need to rinse your tank well and use a new coil before trying the next flavor to avoid mixing flavors together..

Welcome to ECF! Nice to have you around!
