I feel your pain, Papaw. It is just now starting to dry out here, and we have 2" of rain the forecast for the day after Christmas.
I'm off all this week, and had planned a lot of outside work and activities down in my lower pasture. But the rain will make it too wet to get down there.
It. Won't. Stop. Raining.
We have a chance of rain for the next few days again too. Wednesday should be the worst. It never dried out here yet.
My son and I had a great visit yesterday. Last night he went back to his sister's house. They are going to visit the other side of their family today. Then make the trip to his wife's family for a visit. He spends more time driving, than actually being able to visit. It was good for him to see Mom, because she was feeling better yesterday.
Today I don't know if my brother is coming here, or if he will come tomorrow. I have to discuss insurance and hopefully finish with that blasted paperwork. The guy who is supposed to answer my questions can hopefully see me today.

Quiet in here today! My brother did come today, with his wife. 20% chance of rain tomorrow. Friday is the only day they aren't calling for rain. Then rain again possibly Sat-Monday. I am going to have to move the plants again before I leave. The weather was nice today, but it is clouding up big time already.
I hope everyone is having a great time with family and friends. I just want to sit down, and kick my feet up. I did get the insurance thing straightened out, but the rest is up in the air still. Whatever. I'm not doing it today. That guy took a very extended lunch today. I waited around as much as possible, then I gave up.
I got two of the nurses who are taking care of Mom some starts of flowers. The night nurse was thrilled. The day nurse she usually has was off today. The night nurse got one plant yesterday. After talking to her last night, I got her a few more. That should make her smile. She said she has a green thumb, so I am excited for her.

Those were some of the favorite gifts I ever received - I loved planting them and remembering when I got them and who gave them to me. I also loved giving away bulbs and starter plants from my flower beds. Something so very cool about that.

I'm about to make some popcorn (with yeast flakes sprinkled on it), grab a beer and kick my feet up. Maybe watch some old Torchwood episodes. Kind of silly, cheesy and campy show. Hmmm... maybe a cooking show instead!

another ruff one... 11 hrs of driving ... just got home about 30 min ago ( 12:30 am 12-25) and I still have 2 more runs for Xmas day too
