Well I guess the new year is going to start off wet. Been raining all day. Got my hearing test done at Costco. Then went to the medical place. They told me they would be open and they were closed. Figures.

It hasn't stopped raining here since June. Record year for rainfall here. More than 30" above normal. Constant state of saturation for months on end. Our local news posted our NY Eve temps compared to what they’ll have in Times Square. They will be 10 degrees higher than us; 20 if you count our wind chill. I didn’t move here to freeze!

I made some caramel popcorn today. Funny stuff that caramel is. Basically butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup. It’s like flavored contact cement. Nice and pliable when warm. Hard as a rock when cool. Was licking off the spatula. Wrapped around my crown, cooled down and lifted that sucker clean off. No damage to the tooth or the crown. Just simply pulled it off. That dang caramel works better than pliers and a pry bar. I’m hoping they can just glue the thing back on. Crowns aint cheap.
ECF needs an “I’m jealous” emoji.
You had me sold on trying to make caramel popcorn until the end of that post! Ouch!
