I was watching tv last nite for a bit and saw something about rugby... looks like a ruff game
anyway I got to thinking of how the game began...

2 groups of hunters were out hunting for food... each group had a fire going at opposite ends of the field where they were hunting. one group found a small pig, caught it and started running towards their fire..
the other group saw this and went after them and tried to wrestle the pig away from them and take the pig to their fire...
after a couple of hours of doing this they made rules.... ;)
LOLOL Love it! Perfect description. It's quite a game, innit!

My mother is still in rehab. She doesn't have the flu, but they are checking a couple more things to see if she has it.

A good deal more rain on the way for here. My front yard is still spongy when you walk on it. I am not looking forward to this never ending nightmare.

Last night the fireworks and guns started blasting off earlier than normal. Many more guns this year than normal, for some odd reason. I had to run the Lavender for the big dog. Thunder doesn't bother her now, unless it is the kind that would make you jump. Fireworks and guns though are not ignored by her. She tries to get in my lap for safety. When she was close to a year old, she didn't mind guns at all. When the tree across the street started dropping big limbs like dominoes, that is when she because afraid of loud noises. So far the little dog still doesn't care about any of it. I hope it stays that way too!

She’s a big pup to be trying to get in your lap! I hope all goes well with your mom. Last night was crazy with bangs from fireworks and guns. It went on for hours. Thankfully, neither cat was bothered by it. A few ear twitches here and there. I’m glad that part is over though.

Yes, she is about 90 pounds now. She is way too big for my lap.

I got a call from the rehab, and some of the results came back. She got C-diff there, which is a bacteria problem common in places like this. My mother just cannot seem to catch a break. salt issue, pneumonia and now this. The antibiotics for the pneumonia probably made her more apt to get the C-diff. I hope I didn't get it from my mother. I will have to wear a gown and mask tomorrow just to see her, the nurse told me. Mom thought she would be going home today. I know this news is going to be rough.

I started taking my flu and cold remedy stuff last night. I felt like I was coming down with something, which seemed to be an upper respiratory virus. Luckily I took some today too, twice. I already take probiotics, and was also taking stuff to help me from catching a virus. So after the phone call this evening, I ran in the kitchen and pulled out my clove oil. It may not be strong enough in case I caught the C-diff, but it is worth trying. Before I go to bed tonight, I'm taking some more of that remedy. It has a good dose of garlic in it, among other infection fighters.

I made some caramel popcorn today. Funny stuff that caramel is. Basically butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup. It’s like flavored contact cement. Nice and pliable when warm. Hard as a rock when cool. Was licking off the spatula. Wrapped around my crown, cooled down and lifted that sucker clean off. No damage to the tooth or the crown. Just simply pulled it off. That dang caramel works better than pliers and a pry bar. I’m hoping they can just glue the thing back on. Crowns aint cheap.

Yes, they can cement it right back on. As long as the tooth underneath has no issues, and the crown didn't break. :)

Music to my ears!! You would know (I forgot you were a tooth lady). Indeed, there is no damage to either the tooth or the crown. It was a clean separation. Yes, there is glue residue but I suspect the dentist can clean that off and re-glue it. Might as well get my chompers cleaned while I'm there. I don't want or need xrays or bitewings or anything else. Just want my teeth cleaned and the crown cemented back on. Some of these dentists try to run up the bill with all kind of other crap.

Good morning Army!

Got an appt at 9:30 tomorrow morning. You were right Bridge. They can glue her back on as long as there is no damage. $117. I was gonna get a cleaning but that's a separate issue needing another appt. And of course they don't just do a cleaning. They make you get bitewings and exam too. So it's more like $250 for all that. Tooth work is never cheap.

What is a bitewing? I am in Kentucky and we don't license dentists here and we tax pliers as medical instruments.

I don't know what a bitewing is. Just the standard xrays is what I think it is. Bridget would know. Left top, left bottom, right top, right bottom. Four of them.

Pliers don't work as good as caramel.

We are looking to tax caramel based upon your use of it as a medical instrument.

From my days in an orthodontic office, I remember that bitewings are in those areas you listed, hence, “wings”. It’s the X-ray that requires you to bite down on the cardboard framing while they take the image. Hence “bite”.

And I still want to know if you ate the popcorn or tossed it? :)

Oh man. A rough time for sure. It’s good you’re taking care of yourself too. I’ve been using oregano oil as needed and it seems to be working well. I eat enough garlic to drop a vampire from 50 ft away. Makes everyone want to hug me now, right?!?

I ate some of it. The rest was my contribution to the New years party. :)
