I haven't used oregano oil topically. I follow the "drops under the tongue" approach. Nasty stuff! Burns my throat if I don't quickly take water. But it's effective for me, so I put up with it.

I hope you didn’t touch much and washed your hands well. C-diff is nasty and you don’t want it. Hoping your mom takes a turn towards recovery soon. She’s having a rough time (and you as well).
I like a few weeks, but I’m super disorganized about my ordering, so I’ve needed to use it the day it arrived and it was fine. Just got better of course, but you gotta do what you gotta do
Dang.. I think we charge $40.. Not sure on that tho. Bitewings are taken yearly to check for decay between the back teeth. They sit together like bricks, so we look for decay in between on X-rays, because it can't always be seen visually- until it's big anyway. And you have to have an exam by the doc at least once a year.. At least in OK.
I am the exception here in OK. So much obesity.
that's not an easy fix.. should get that checked asap.
I use Oregano essential oil. I don't know if you made the oil, or bought it. Oregano essential oil is a hot oil, and I dilute it pretty hard with Jojoba oil. Then I apply it only topically. I used to grow Greek Oregano, but it died out over a hard winter, and I haven't bought more to replace it.
I have touched all kinds of items in her room. I also used her restroom multiple times. To make matters worse I washed her clothes with mine. But I did wash my hands every time I went in her room, from the start. I also washed them even more when I heard they were going to test her for the flu. Once I found out two nights ago they were testing for C-diff, I was very particular about not touching anything without washing my hands afterwards. Today I bleached my door knobs, keys, toilet etc... and her stuff at her house. I still need to use bleach in her washer and dryer too. I do lean towards being a little OCD about germs like that. I didn't know much about C-diff, but I'm up to speed now, and you're right, I don't want it. I told her the rehab needed to do her clothes now until she is straightened out. She didn't like that, but I am too leery to do it now.
I use an organic extract that I buy. I’d love to grow my own herbs. My cats are an obstacle for anything indoors. One is an Olympic-level high jumper. The other is an intrepid climber. My real joy would be growing some things hydroponically, but that’s a whole other set of equipment. You can DIY pretty cheaply, but it’s a time investment and again, the felines would think it was all for their entertainment and enjoyment.

She does have the C-diff for sure. I am worried that I will get it, but at this point there isn't much I can do. You live and learn.
Can you grow herbs on your balcony? If you don't let your cats out there, you could try that. As much as you cook, just think about those fresh herbs on your wonderful dishes that you make. Greek Oregano smells wonderful to me. I still have several herbs here, and I have saved seed from other plants that bit the dust. I have a lot of feverfew seeds & self heal, you wouldn't want to cook with them. Feverfew doesn't have a good taste at all, but makes good medicine. Most of my herbs now are medicinal. Seeds are cheap, and you can save seed from your plants too. I had a great peppermint plant, but it died last winter. Sadly I did not save seed from that plant. I have learned that it is better not to plant mint in the ground. It will take over everything. Lemon Balm does not do well here in a pot, but does great in the ground, as long as it gets some shade from the hot afternoon sun.

I’m praying that you don’t get it. And for your mom’s speedy recovery from it.
I had some feverfew in the flower beds at my old place. I didn’t plant it. It showed up among my Shasta daisies! I loved the smell of it when you brushed the leaves. But I hadn’t used any of it therapeutically. Back then I had very little time for such things like that, or baking bread. That’s why I’m loving having the time to explore now.
There may be some herbs I could grow on the balcony. We do sometimes let the cats out there briefly. We have to watch them - especially the jumper. We don’t have any tables or furniture out there permanently thanks to that harsh sun. If I put planters or shelving there, they’d have something to jump up on. Their little balcony jaunts would have to stop.
Our place is south facing and the balcony gets the full blast of afternoon and evening sun. I’d only be able to grow whatever can tolerate that. I’d love to grow garlic but I think that doesn’t do well in pots and it needs a winter of hard freezes to grow well.
you need to come to Nawlinz and see the influx of "south of the border" ladies who have taken up residence here... lets just say they dont suffer from malnutrition.... could possibly be the new generation of the obese.... I have yet to see a slim and trim version over the age of 12. Dont know if its genetics or the availability of "American" food that is making them a bit bigger than the norm. There is a public school a couple of blocks down and the passer-bys going to school in the morning are 2X the size than what would be considered normal...
