Oh, Bronze . . . I'm so very sorry! :(:(:(

ummm yes there is... a hot flat beer with ciggie butts in it.. :)

Ah memories . . . "bright college days, oh carefree days of yore" :rolleyes:

Good morning Army. Thanks for the thoughts. Kitty had kidney failure. She was anemic and severely dehydrated. Three weeks short of 16, it was her time. Yes, I miss her. You can't help but not miss her after burrowing her body into my chest as far as she can every single night without fail and purring herself to sleep. I have a severe case of stick shift syndrome (driving an automatic after years of driving a manual and still reaching for the stick shift). Watching when I back up in the kitchen to make sure kitty isn't in my feet. Holding the bedroom door open before going to bed so kitty can get a running start to hop up on the bed. Feeling hurried in the morning because she wants to be fed before I can even get dressed. Then seeing her food bowls and the kitty-shaped dent she left in the pillow she was sleeping on yesterday when I picked her up for the last time to take her to the vet. So yes, I miss her. This concludes 25 consecutive years of having cats in the house. They've worn me down. I need a break.

:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

It's my birthday today. Where's the cake?

Happy Belated Birthday, Hula my love!

At 7 PM kitty starts making chirping sounds to let me know she wants to be fed. It gradually gets louder and more frequent. By 7:30 PM she is barking out a full throated scream that she wants to be fed and fed NOW!!!. Tonight, the silence is deafening.

Sniff. :(

Memories! - Nat King Cole's Christmas album. Love his voice.

YES! NKC + Andy Williams = Christmas!

In other kitty news, my Maxwell just got officially diagnosed as diabetic. Grrrrr, what is it with me and diabetic kitties? :confused: Oh well, I'm GOOD at dealing with it!:eek:

You don't need a diabetic kitty, you need a pet like the one my son gave me.
Our Mail Lady has a new way of delivering packages. She eases quietly into the driveway, rolls down her window just long enough to leave the package on the tailgate of my pickup, the toots the horn as she speeds out the driveway in reverse.

We had one too El. Truthfully though, giving a cat a shot is not hard. But it does require time and expense and isn't something you can have the neighbor do when you have to go out of town. How old is Maxwell?

My nephew was a meter reader some years ago. He kept some high powered pepper spray with him and had to nail dogs with it on a regular basis. The dog owners would call and complain but he didn't care. As he put it, it's them or me. Hell, I go for walks in the neighborhood and it seems there is always a dog or two on the loose. Usually the little fluffy ones you can punt into next week if necessary. But if they're big ones it's a bit dicey.

...ans senior year in high school (skip days, otherwise known as playing hooky) Those were the days to few before going big gray and sailing away. US NAVY. I did work a year before signing up so it wasn't too few. Made enough to put down on a Monty Carlo and keep up the payments short order cooking in a greasy spoon called the Flame (It was actually a pretty nice family restaurant, I just got sick of cleaning & smelling the grease after a couple years!
