welllll so much for having a spring here... its 82F o_O

So THAT'S where our heat went! We'll be lucky to see the 40's this week. Had snow last night and in places today. And rain, rain, rain. If it isn't raining, it's heavy gray clouds. Today is that damp kind of cold that gets in your bones. I'm glad you're not dealing with this kind of weather while recovering from the flu.

As one local here said, "When did Vegas become Seattle?"

Oh, the epilogue to that story is that the doctors told my folks there was one benefit from all those surgeries and treatments: My ears would be so screwed up that the army would never take me in.

Well, I turned 18 at the height of the Viet Nam war. When I went in for my physical, they stuck a thermometer up my rear and looked in both ears for about 1 second. I passed.

The joke back then was if they stuck a mirror under your nose and it fogged up, you passed your physical.

They did take anyone breathing! My cousin was schizophrenic, but he was sent to Vietnam at 18 years old. He came back far worse than when he went in. He was a disturbed and frightening person.

OK, so half of the drivers decide to stress test each other with 9 Laps to go. Or at least that's what is being reported. I was watching AAF, and it was actually a good football game. 37 -29, each team added a defensive TD onto their effective offenses.
So when half the field wipes out with under 10 laps to go, do they stop ? Do they finish under yellow (caution) ?
Or is it stop anyways to check the track for debris ?

They clean it up and go to a two lap overtime.

I just never got interested in Nascar. Don't know why. I used to love watching MotoGP motorcycle racing, but car racing just doesn't do it for me. Open wheel racing is even more of a snooze fest for me.
I’m not into open wheel either. They’re not even cars.
