Ceejay, I didn't know you were in Ohio too. I am relieved to hear you and the family are okay too! I was watching Mike Morales live (2nd take), and he was covering the storms live. He also showed some Facebook/Twitter posts and videos, as well as radar. That is how I knew what was going on. Yes, it was bad. I saw live footage that someone took of one of the storms, it was dark footage, but you saw it through the lightning. At least two of the people on videos were surprised by it, since they said the sirens did not go off. Hopefully most people did have sirens going. So Dayton had one tornado, then another came 30 minutes later, while people were out surveying the damage and talking to neighbors etc... I guess I will hear more, and see footage today of the damage.

David, it is about time you checked in. I was concerned. A large portion of your state had multiple tornado warnings. I saw how the storms combined and then sort of blew up into a problem. Well at least now I don't have to worry about y'all all day. I'm gonna be watching the twins after while, so I won't be able to be online.

Would you believe I happen to live in a town that doesn't have those sirens? I try not to advertise where I am (for some reason people think everybody in Ohio is crazy-they're right, probably a good reason why I'm antisocial).

checked with the wifey on long term effects... the only thing she said she had was some pain lingering from the surgery site from the lumpectomy and some residual internal scarring from the radiation treatment... another thing she had issues with during chemo was the fluid retention ( especially right after chemo too much saline etc) and as far as nausea, if you get the patch ( sancuso?? its an Rx type not OTC), put it on your tummy ;)
Thank you! They added a third nausea med for me to add to my line up. Just had session 2 today. Exhausted and weak but the nausea seems to be at bay. Hope that continues to be the case. Hair is falling out like crazy and it’s annoying me. I’ll deal with that in a few days. Thanks again for checking. It’s very reassuring that she’s doing so well post treatment.

Yes, I believe it. I heard something like 2/3 of the people did not have sirens going off. I can understand for privacy reasons why you wouldn't broadcast that, so no problem. I never heard people from Ohio were crazy. I certainly don't think you are! I saw some footage this morning of the storm damage. I was busy watching the twins, came home fed the dogs, had supper, went to the store. Then I made a phone call. By then it was almost 10p when I could relax a bit. We are having rain until Saturday, at least that was the last I checked. Wed-Thurs is supposed to be the days to watch. I hope the worst part isn't late at night, and it has been that way most of the time lately.

I hope the 3rd time is the charm on the nausea med. Sorry to hear you are sick feeling and losing hair.

wellll... finally things are getting back to "normal"
saw a good one at the drive up at the bank... pickup truck jacked up and super wide tire set ( girl driving it) whipped into the bay ( drive up area) to do a transaction at the "outside" setup...
the bays have those 8"tall cement islands that the "teller machines" sit on and the entry point is wider than the actual lane width... needless to say, she wedged the tires tight against those 8" curbs and locked the front wheels ( rims) between the cement... she tried to go into reverse, but all she did was smoke the rear tires... she tried going forward and that didnt work either... as she jumped ( literally) out of the truck she was yelling about how her boyfriend is gonna kill her... Sooo... I get out of my car and survey the carnage... yup the rims were toast... I asked her if there was a lug wrench in the back of the truck... yup there was, told her she needs to loosen but not remove the lugnuts on both front tires and reverse out of the "sticky" situation... she did as instructed and backed out of the jam with minimal ( additional) damage to the rims... altho I did have to tell her to re tighten the lugnuts since she was ready to drive away with them still loose....

that most likely works when you are not on chemo.... chemo is designed to stop all cellular growth/reproduction for a "period of time" to let the current cells to die off and not reproduce. It affects the whole body... unfortunately, the first to show the effects are hair root cells and nail bed cells ( your finger nails quit growing) the real "worry" is the reproduction of blood cells ( they dont last long anyway just a couple of weeks) another thing that is "weird" is if you have thick skin on the bottom of your feet... it gets really thin and soft after a couple of weeks.. ( I guess this could be a good thing)

once one is off of chemo, the supplements for hair growth would probably increase rapid replacement.... it would be an interesting experiment tho ;)

@Bronze Carb and some accessories are on order. They must be coming on the same boat that Fasttech uses with a mid to late June arrival date.
Geez. Where did you order it from?

Bone up on how to adjust it ("How to adjust a 2-cycle carb"). It may or may not run perfectly fine after you install it but many times it will need adjusting after a break-in period. It's not hard to adjust once you know how to do it. It's actually quite simple. Also, review the adjusting screws themselves. Do they have locks on them? How to remove locks? What tool do you need to fit over the screws? People (including myself) have crafted homemade tools but honestly they're kind of cheesy and makes it hard to know how much you are adjusting the screws. The tools are cheap and far more accurate and reassuring.

Let me guess...you never drained the tank and burned off the residual gas before storing your saw??

I did do that, turned it upside down and then started it ran it till it quit. It's now four years old maybe time. The first year I had it, I could not find ethanol free gasoline, it might have caught up with me. I've using Startron as a stabilizers, maybe I should use Stabil, who knows as you have noted a chainsaw is the most temperamental implement out there. Those carbs are cheap, I was amazed.

Yeah, the gas these days is junk. The crap they have in their formulas are rough on those small engines. The additives help but it's still junk. You can buy those engineered fuels and they are near flawless but they aint cheap either. I put an ethanol additive in my fuel and I make sure I keep fresh fuel around. Once it sits for a couple months I dump it in my truck and get new. Can't be certain how much the additive helps. There are also fuel stabilizers in that additive and I believe many of the 2-cycle oils have stabilizers in them. Beyond that I will run some Seafoam in a tank of gas from time to time. Seafoam is pretty good for removing the varnish crap that these fuels leave behind. I even use Seafoam in my truck to clean the injectors. Does a real nice job. Dump a can in the fuel tank per the recommended ratio and run the tank down as far as I can. I have also used Marvel's Mystery Oil. Good stuff in fuel and the crankcase (so is Seafoam). Seafoam is more of a cleaner and Marvel's is more of a lubricator but I think there are elements of both in both.

Ethanol is only one problem with crappy fuel. There are other things in fuel that are just as harmful. Olefins or Parafins or something like that are treacherous on small engines. Not sure which it is...something with "fins" at the end of the word. Too lazy to look it up. Maybe BK knows off the top of his head since he's a pyromaniac.
