Pickup washed, Mamaw's Civic washed. Son broke out his clay blocks, spray wax, special cloths and made his mother's car look like it came out of a dealership.
Meanwhile, I cooked burgers, sausage and dogs, then got out some touch-up paint for my F-150 and touched up a few bare spots on the cab.
Productive day for a holiday on retirement.

Washed my car and cleaned the inside today. Sad to think I won't be able to do this much longer and will have to pay someone to detail it. They charge a fortune here I think so we shall see.

Some things about getting older are not fun.

Good afternoon! Gearing up for some Intense overnight fiber and coaxial work for comcast tonight in a crap hole neighborhood.
Had to put my oldest dog down to Saturday morning. It was building for months as she began to lose a bunch of weight, followed by barely eating this week. Took her in Thursday, She was doing better by Friday, and by the time I got there Saturday, things escalated. Bout broke my heart, but after many tests we realized she was in really bad shape. Life goes on I guess, but it's different now after 10 years of daily routines.

Picking up a brand new Provari radius is making my night. Found someone selling them on ebay who happened to be affiliated with the old company and messaged them.. Can't waiT!! It'll never get used, but was always a mod I wanted..

I’m so sorry for your loss, Craig. Life does go on but it’s painful to lose a furry companion like that. Hope that overnight work goes well. Enjoy that Radius!

I know that can be painful. Urlacher was the best beast I ever had, nothing approached this house without his permission.

When he passed away last spring, I locked myself in the master bathroom and mixed DIY E-Liquid for two days.
A friend at work told me he has going to mate his female German Shepherd soon, and in November I brought Natasha home.

She is eight months old now, easily 65 pounds (and growing), and while she is not as protective as Urlacher was, she is a non-stop play machine.

When one door closes, another one opens. When you are ready, there will be another furball ready to sneak into your heart. And you will both be better because of it.

I can't imagine what it will be like for me when the time comes for Duce, an eleven year old black lab. He is a daily companion and my motivation to move regardless of weather. He wants a walk, every evening at 7.30PM, daylight savings time or standard, light or dark, rain or snow, he knows it's time. He sits and stares at me until I get going.

    Anyway, I am sorry, MrPic.

MrPicC I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I have always had pets, but some just bring such joy and companionship. They each have their own personality. My big dog is my favorite of them all. She is almost seven now. I dread the day when it is her time.

Brett you have a wonderful female GSD there. Give her a little more time. Females can be very protective, especially as they mature a bit more. Natasha is a lovely young dog. I have no doubt instinct will kick in, especially should a threat arise. I had a friend once who had a Golden Retriever. A family was moving out of state, and gave him up for adoption. He was housebroke and loved kids. One day we were camping at the lake and he was with the kids as usual. You would think a Goldie would not do a thing. But a threat came to the kids and he protected them. I was surprised. That was his only time of aggression. But he was there when the need presented itself. My dog loves those she knows I love or like. But if there is a presumed threat, I have no doubt she would go into protection mode in a big way.

Get another lab pup. Duce will love it and will keep him young and he'll live longer and when he does go you'll still have the pup and will help take the sting out.
