Good Morning Everyone. Bronze is returning to his youth ("Go outside and turn the antenna"). Not a good sign at his age ;).
Didn't do much yesterday except wander around Lowe's Home IMprovement and burn up several gift cards. $366 worth of "Let's see what I can screw up" cost $16 out of pocket. By the time I am finished, it'll be a $400 cosmetic renovation where the bath/ shower, toilet and vanity are still all the same. Just new paint, trim, lighting and flooring, with some needed repair on the subfloor. Covid-19 wrecked home improvement pricing.

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

So trying to hook a tv up to that big antenna in the attic. Tried the connection in the wall in the office because that’s where it looks like the cable goes. Didn’t work. Got Neighbor’s multimeter and tested it. Whatever that connection in my office is it does not go to the antenna. I looked all over and cannot find where that antenna cable goes. It goes in a wall and disappears into the ether. Went up in the attic with my tv and ran another cable to it. I get 45 channels. 6 don’t work, there are several duplicates, and lots of crappy channels (shopping networks, etc). So unless that antenna cable has another end I’m gonna have to run a new cable. Just need to decide where to. I did learn than R59 coaxial cable sucks bigly. R6 is much better and the R6 quad is slightly better than R6 dual. You get more channels with R6 and better reception.

Assuming you checked in the usual rooms where people put tv’s, the only other thought is in the basement.

Houses should be sold with schematics! I gave the new owners every owner’s manual, the original construction blueprints, and the map to the septic cover that I had to pay $150 to find. I wished I could have taken them through the place and pointed out quirks and how to deal with them, and answer any questions.

I would assume, that since you have Spectrum Internet all of your coax outlets would be hooked up to your CATV terminal from them - i.e. basement, too.
At least that's what cable providers in Germany would do when initially installing their service - disconnect everything from antenna and hook it up to their service. Back in the analogue days w/o settop boxes that made sense. You could just hook a TV up and get your basic cable channels without further ado.

I don't have a basement. Just a crawl. Hardly no one has basements in NC. Not sure why. And yes, people should be leaving documentation behind when they leave a house. I always do. And certainly when you run a line or cable or whatever, label the damn thing! How hard can it be?

Yes, Sir. This house never ran off an antenna. It has always been cable. It was built in the late 90's. I'm not exactly sure why, who, or when that antenna was put in the attic. Maybe they wanted better FM reception. No idea.

Got a new muffler and catalytic converter put on the truck today. Knew I needed a muffler. Wasn't so sure about converter. There were no signs of it being bad but once the truck was in the air and I could get to it there was no doubt it was bad. Cars/Trucks lose power very slowly when converters start to go bad. It's not even noticeable until you get a new one. Then pop! All kind of pep returns. I enjoyed my ride home. :)

So I was looking for two more Vapefly Galaxies, one black and one blue. They are starting to be hard to find,
But the generosity of an incredible lady, and a longtime ECF member, remedied that.
Just received them, free of charge.
I wonder if those fools on Crapitol Hill have any idea how wonderful Vapers are ?

Hey there, Bronze & PapawBrett

So I just finished mixing up my first batch. I went with a Cornell & Diehl Virginian mixed with a touch of vanilla. It was pretty easy following the instructions and the gear I got from Vape Wizard made mixing a breeze. I am gonna let it steep a week and check it out with very low expectations. I also made an unflavored VG-dominant batch, too.

Thanks for your guidance and I will let ya know how she vapes.

Say David. Are all your over-the-air channels from your antenna digital (DTV)? Do you get any analog channels?

All the channels I'm getting are digital. I'm not sure there are any analog ones on anymore.. At least it didn't find any.. I may know better when the new antenna gets here. It clams to have a 200 plus mile range..

I didn’t think so either but my neighbor is getting channels I don’t get (he actually gets less total channels than me). I was just wondering if there were still some analog waves flying around. I also notice the auto program feature on my Samsung tvs have the ability to search both DTV and Air channels.
