My Sony has the new ATSC 3.0 turner in it. And I really need to get the system on this TV figured out. When I switch to live TV I now have the Pluto streaming channels added to it. Not sure how I did that. I'll have to fix that. I don't want the OTA channels with the streaming ones. I didn't get a manual for it. Have to see if I can download one.

What a hump day! Up at 4 am to finish packing up and heading back to La La Land. The road trip to Vegas was a success but we had to get out of there ahead of a (worse) heat wave of 115+ for the next few days. Didn’t want to cross the Mojave in the peak heat of the day. Still, it was 90+ as we packed!

Made it back in just over 4 hours, unpacked, made dinner and I am well and truly exhausted. I only forgot 3 of my favorite kitchen tools. Ordered replacements for 2 of them because they are decently priced. The other is an awesome citrus squeezer that is a lot more expensive now than when I bought it. I’ll have to grab it next trip.

Good Morning Everyone. Starting off with rain, should clear out about lunchtime.
If the radar is accurate, Bronze could save on his water bill, and just go out in the backyard with a bar of soap in about an hour ;)
Still piddlin' in the master bath. Should get the painting done today. Need to get busy as Natasha has found the flooring panels. I'd rather she didn't chew on something that costs $80 a box.

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

Would not want to get stuck in the Mojave in the middle of the day in the middle of July. Nope. No, Ma'am!

My house is right in the middle of the path of that thing. We're gonna get soaked.

The world remains randomly weird:

On Dec 30 of 2015, I closed on the sale of my house in PA. Some of you might remember what a long and painful process selling that house was. In the end, after repairs and a seller assist, I cleared about $200 profit on the whole ordeal.

This week, my old mortgage company sent me a check for a refund of some of the payoff cost they quoted and received.

$8.50

After 5.5 years.

You have the best ideas!

Although, there’s an awesome Italian Deli not far from here. $8.50 worth of their outstanding country ham and Havarti and I’ll bake a dozen of my sourdough deli rye loaves and the Army will eat like kings.

Hello Everyone. The Saga of the Master Bathroom continues. Yesterday was one of those days where if it could go wrong, it went wrong. I think someone named "Murphy" once wrote a Law about that sort of thing.
Today is easing along much better. Floor leveled and prepped, replaced some molding abound the door, and have started into the actual flooring. Maybe a third of the way in, another thunderstorm rolls in. Power is still on, but I was cutting the tiles on the back deck. This weekend I should finally finish what I started out as a two-day fix as a week long repair. Oh, the Joys of Home Ownership !

Them projects never go according to plan. Never!

We just had a storm roll through that was as intense and I have seen in years. Hail and all. We got 2-1/2" in less than a half hour. That's in excess of 5" per hour. It cannot rain any harder than that. My drain work largely held up. Just some stones washed out at the end of my trench. But it handled the water. And it was a friggin' river.

Gotts love it when a project turns out as planned. Even if the extra work makes it worth it.
