The party failed without Fran and Lori.

I have one Ultra HD 4K blu ray DVD. alien Covenant. Only problem is I only have a regular Blu Ray player so it wont play the UHD. Bummer.
Do you have a 4K TV and some kind of streaming player? Many of the newer DVD's have a deal where you can access them via your Fire Stick or other steaming service if you upload a code and save it to your account. I do it with Movies Anywhere, linked to my Amazon Prime, and viewed on my Fire Stick, but I think they also offer other combos for Apple and YouTube TV. It will say something in the insert with the DVD.

Next time they’ll know. It’s okay, the ravens threw a pool party today too and didn’t invite me or Fran. There were so many of them all around the pool. Lasted less than 5 minutes and they all took off.

That's what they get for not inviting us.

Just when I think I’ve gotten used to being invisible as a woman of a certain age… some little 30-ish chick at Costco gets so into my space at a shelf of tortillas that I had to execute quite a maneuver in order to be able to turn my shoulders so I could walk away. The entire aisle was clear and the display was big enough for both of us and a few more. She never noticed or acknowledged my presence. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I keep wondering if this is a newer gen thing cause I don't remember ever disrespecting older people. Even my family rarely asks my input on anything as though I couldn't possibly know. Sometimes, I feel a bit useless but something I have had to come to terms with. I am sure it will only get worse as I get older.

The other day, I was heading into a store and this man barged in front of me and went into the store. Then, I was waiting in line at one of those weird registers that has no real line up and the same man came zooming up when the people in front finished and jumped ahead of me.

    I guess I am invisible.

I’ve had too many similar experiences. When it first started happening, I was angry at the ageism. Then I started noticing how they treat each other and realized that the sense of the dignity and worth of all other humans is lost on them. Then I just felt sad for them. Seeing how they treat people who aren’t invisible to them… I’d rather be invisible to them.

There’s always folks (like this group here) who can still see each other and respect and value each other’s existence. They don’t even know what they’ve lost. Maybe someday…

David, you have Direct TV right? If you have a satellite package with them will they let you stream it on other tvs or do they force you to use one of their sat boxes?
I have DirecTV Stream. It's just an app. It's part of DirecTV just online. So no box needed just add the app to it or what ever box you have. I had it on Roku for awhile. Now it's on my TV, my PC and my phone. But I do have AT&T unlimited package for my phone. I may have to change that at some point which will lose having free Max. I've stayed with DirecTV Stream because I get the channels I want. My package has 100+ channels. I have 33 of them marked as favorites so I don't have to scan the whole list to get to the ones I want. I look at the whole list now and then to see if anything has been added. What I pay now is $60.44 for internet (300/300 fiber) and $89.99 for DirecTV Stream. So $150.43. I could maybe save on the streaming if I was willing to give some channels up. Plus I think the streaming landscape is still changing. If your thinking of a service check out the ones that will have what your looking for.

I’m actually inquiring for a friend who has DT. All of it on sat boxes. I think they have like 3 or 4 of them. They have a 1600 square foot house with 8 TVs. DT limits how many tvs you can have on one box. Wanna say 2. So it sounds like DT offers the boxes OR the streaming app but don’t mingle the two like I have with Spectrum cable where I can stream my cable channels all I want on as many devices as I want.

On your home network you can have as many as you want. But only three devises can be on the go. The only catch is some networks may limit the number of streams. Fox channels and Starz only allow 3 streams at the same time. There may be others... Depending on how many are going to be used at the same time He'd need a good internet speed...

I remember that stuff! I don’t eat hot dogs either. Early in the pandemic, someone gave us most of a case of Vienna Sausages. Like 10 or 11 cans. We set them aside in case shortages got really bad. We still have them and no one wants any! Can’t give them away. LOL
Doing some catchup and I saw this . Got two words , Hebrew National , orthodox rabbi's don't mess around when it comes to food . I've had them come in and use propane torches to scour my ovens and remove any trace of pork from them so it would be kosher for a bar mitzvah . No worries about what's in the Hebrew National hot dogs , those rabbi's are serious . Boil em up in some beer and top'em with some good brown mustard and some kraut , good stuff .
