Good info! And when I ate hot dogs in the past, they had to have mustard and kraut. Except for Yocco’s, where they served chili dogs. Well-known place where I grew up. The owners were cousins of Lee Iacocca. The PA Dutch pronounced the name Yocco.Doing some catchup and I saw this . Got two words , Hebrew National , orthodox rabbi's don't mess around when it comes to food . I've had them come in and use propane torches to scour my ovens and remove any trace of pork from them so it would be kosher for a bar mitzvah . No worries about what's in the Hebrew National hot dogs , those rabbi's are serious . Boil em up in some beer and top'em with some good brown mustard and some kraut , good stuff .
And still hurts like it was yesterday. Such a lovely person.
Our high today was 93. Been in the 90’s for over a week now. Your temps sound pretty nice to me. No doubt I’ll gripe in winter though.Evening... Having cooler weather here.. In the 40s at night and mid 50s daytime.. I do not like it....

It’s amazing the crap we pile up over our lifetime. We are supposed to cool down a bit this evening.
Yesterday was a really humid day.
@Bronze I can't believe it has been 5 years since Robin passed. I miss her so very much.
Got my folks all settled into a retirement home.
We've been dealing with all their dang stuff at the house...ohmygosh...the stuff !![]()
Do you have room for a bigger garden? It’s 89 here right now. Blech.
And I’m doing my best not to accumulate again after downsizing when I headed west. Doing okay so far with that. But every interest or activity comes with a temptation to get more stuff. Photography for sure. Gardening too.
Must. Resist.![]()
Yes, definitely. The property is just under an acre. I’m doing raised beds because the soil is “tired” and has an infestation of a nasty weed called puncturevine or goathead or devil’s thorn. The cost of the beds and the soil to fill them is too much right now. And I need to get a lot better at this gardening thing before I take on more.Do you have room for a bigger garden?

Thank you for that encouragement, Fran! It means a lot to me.I think you do pretty well.
Trees make a property more lovely. But they are messy sons-o-guns, aren’t they?Blew off the tree debris in the front. The leaves haven't started falling yet. They haven't even turned color yet. But need to get all the twigs, branches, and hickory nuts off the ground before the leaves come down. Otherwise, it's a tangled up mess that take forever. Leaf season starts in a couple weeks and lasts thru mid December.
There aren't too many of them so I can blow them out. Can't do that with the acorns (I have oaks out the wazoo here, not so many hickorys). In that case I blow them in piles all over the place then shovel them up and haul them away. The squirrels help out around the bushes. The only thing they do that contributes to the betterment of mankind.Trees make a property more lovely. But they are messy sons-o-guns, aren’t they?
How do you get the hickory nuts? Does the blower get them? Or do you have one of those nut collector contraptions?
My next question was going to be “Don’t those stupid squirrels help?”There aren't too many of them so I can blow them out.
