It's been 10 years young lady! How are you doing?

I know, it's crazy. I'm not even exactly sure why I'm here. So, I'm sick in bed today and I just thought, I wonder what's going on with everybody on the HHV forum? What with everything's that happened in the world. Anyway, it's been kind of an emotional roller coaster. Such fun we had - but then I started running across all the people who are no longer with us. Now I feel just kind of sad and nostalgic.

You wouldn't be normal if you weren't a little sad and nostalgic. With HHV closing shop and losing many of our friends to heaven. It kinda hits hard. Somehow, some of us have hung on because, well, we're just friends and like to stay in touch. That's the good stuff and makes it worth it. :)

I cannot recall all who you would remember. You were here in the real early days when this thread was lit up beyond belief. We lost Ms. Robin. Cancer. Don't know if you remember Chakris. I think he came after you. Then Bobby (bivie), Frank (73), and of course Phil (Z-Ghost)...I believe you were here for them. Miss them all to this day. Some of the originals are still here. Hula checks in about once a week. Bridget about once a month. Pappy about once a year . RJ hangs out on a different thread these days. She was gone a long time then came back. Thinking Pop (PapawBrett), David, Lori, Ret, others came shortly after you. We gained some really good people over the time. But like vaping in general and ECF more specifically, activity has really slowed here. Nothing like those crazy days when you were around. But it remains fulfilling and nothing to be overly sad and nostalgic about. It's still fun.

So what has you bedridden?

Yes, I was very sad to see that Robin had passed on. What a sweet and wonderful woman...I do remember Chakris, Bivie, and Z-Ghost. I remember having so much fun with you, Pappy, Ice Poet, gthompson (that cheeky monkey), Burly, and a couple others. I can't believe how long ago it's been. Glad to see that you are still holding down the fort here.

I don't know what I have currently, I've probably got "the plague" again. Mostly just cold symptoms. How's things with you?

I'm the same as I was 10 years ago and probably well before that. :) I'm like a bush. Always look the same year after year, maybe a little wider but no taller. That's not exciting to most people but then there's something to be said about predictability. I cause no one any sadness and I remain glued together. :)

There are lots of dog and cat lovers here. I'm guessing you still have cats. No idea what would make me think that. :)

Predictability is so comforting. One of the many things that I love about you. The fact that you are still here speaks volumes.

I still have the same two cats! :) But I have added a kid!

The key to contentedness is not to try so much to impress anyone. :)

Wow, those cats have to be gettin' up there, no? And now a kid to chase them around? I thought I was finally done with cats a few years back. I enjoyed not stepping in barf piles or having those mutts laying on me while I was trying to sleep. Enjoyed it for a couple years but then the neighbors got a third dog and their cat (who visited here all the time) ran away. Didn't want to deal with all them dogs. So the neighbors asked if the cat could stay here. What am I supposed to say? I built him a big catio and he hangs out there all the time and he doesn't sleep on me so it hasn't been too bad except he's always in my feet.

Yes, I still remember your real name. I wont say here but it's an awesome name! :)

Wait, a kid as in a kitten or as in a kid?

The cats will be 13 years old this August. I also "inherited" another cat when we moved to a new house several years ago. She belonged to the previous owners but decided she didn't want to leave. They moved about a mile up the road and tried to take her with them, but she kept coming back - so we just kept her. She stays outside and roams her territory. We live out in the country now. So, we still have lots of barf piles but none from her. I'm glad you have another cat. Pets are good for the soul.

And we have a kid (as in kid) now too lol. I have a beautiful 5-year-old daughter who is the light of my life.

I remember your real name too. It's still hard not to call you that.

Oh, my. A beautiful girl. Oh yes, I can clearly see how she would be the light of your life. And I'm sure you love being a mommy. You have been quite busy haven't you? :)

Being her mom is the best thing I ever did. It's been such a crazy time the last couple of years. How have you guys been through all of this? How is Mrs. Bronze?

She’s good. Everyone is good. No problems. On cruise control. Same house in the woods. Same truck (I feel married to that thing). Same neighbors for the most part. Got a regular Mayberry thing going on. I’ll have to dig up that catio picture for you. Your cats would like one. :)

Now that you’re a mommy I assume you had to give up the crappy chick band gig, huh? And “We” as in a Mr Cally?

I'm so glad to hear it. Thank goodness we moved to our own Mayberry before all the doo doo hit the fan. I would love to see the catio. I bet it's really cool.

I did give up the crappy chick band a long time ago. Fun fact: I married my drummer's brother  He's a wonderful man, a great husband and father. I couldn't ask for more. God is good.

That’s really good news. And you really deserve a good life. I know I don’t have to tell you but good things generally happen to good people. Maybe a couple gut punches here and there but overall life is good.

Are you still working?

I had my share of gut punches but I think I had a lot of lessons to learn.

I am still working part-time in private practice.

Yes, I still do. I've been at 3 mg for years. Just can't seem to bring myself to give it up completely.
I remember you were bummed when Heather got rid of that pie flavor you liked. I forget what it was called. Tsunami Pie or something…lol.

I suppose it would be nice to quit altogether but there isn’t anything to be gained constantly fretting over it either. I suspect some day all of us will grab our e-cig, look at it, and realize we don’t need it anymore. I know we’d be better off without them but the urgency isn’t near what it would be if they were cigarettes.

Is your girl in school yet or does she start up next month?
