You kid, but the view of the dish is appetizing. You would be amazed at plates of food I am served by professionals who clearly don't think about how it is going to be presented to the customer.

If you were a professional, I would criticize the need for color, which could be remedied with some green onions, green or red peppers, sliced tomatoes, or the like. Even better would be some spinach penne pasta to make a green base. As the dish was, it looks home made, simple, and tasty. Your seasoning is simple yet balanced. The scallops are the "star" of the dish, and they look scrumptious. Your father is fortunate to have you preparing his food.

Actually I am a professional, or was when I was younger...lol. But I tend to avoid frue-frue when cooking for family.
