Welcome to the forum!

Many of us quit right away, some of us quit "by accident", and still others it has taken some time. I would say congrats to you for making the first step(s) but don't put too much pressure on yourself. Think of how long you've been smoking and realize that if it doesn't happen overnight, in a week, or in a month (some people it takes much longer than that), you're still ahead of the game!

Good luck to you!

Quit 7 weeks tomorrow....decided over the weekend....picked up Ego starter kit on a Monday night. No more analogs since that Monday night. So involved in the whole vaping experience I can't see going back (I would miss vaping to much). I have tried to smoke one analog since quitting and it tasted like sh**. Can't believe I smoked and/or dipped copenhagen for 25 yrs. But as Alisa said..... this was my experience....it may be different for you!!

Yeah whatever works for you. I didn't put excessive pressure on myself to completely stop smoking right away. I slowed WAY down the first week, just trying to use the ecig before every time I decided to smoke. Vaping sort of naturally became the thing I looked forward to, not smoking. After that first week the taste and smell of cigarettes has become positively repulsive.

Initially I wanted to quit when I started vaping. Instead I continued smoking while also vaping until 8 days ago, when I finally convinced my brain that I really do like vaping more. That's the day I quit analogs, and I haven't missed them. If I had quit the day I got my gear, I think that I would be still craving for an analog

Welcome to the ECF boards, jordan2410.

Me? . . . I gave up cigarettes the same day I started using store purchased disposables.

Everyone is different. Set a high goal and work with it on a day to day. Many have tossed the analog habit. You will too, as well.

Have a productive vaping adventure.

took me 1 year, 11 months and 8 days to go full time. it's a decision to make for yourself, in your own time and in your own way. I had conveniences of doing both for far too long. recently, with all the healthy changes I have been making in my life, continuing to have even those 10-14 smokes a day made me feel like a hypocrite. when I ran out, I refused to buy more. (still staying away from corner store)

My wife and I decided to start vaping together. At first my goal was just to vape whenever I felt like having a cig. If I still wanted one after vaping then I could smoke all I wanted. Cut my. 2.5 pad habit down to 2 packs in a week. Had about for cigs left and didnt want them, gave em to nthe neighborhood mooch. Have tried smoking 1 cig since. Too drags and I tossed the thing, felt sick and couldmt stand the smell. Go at your own pace, dont put to much pressure on yourself. When you do it makes you feel horrible for "failing"

3 days.

At first all I wanted to try was tobacco flavored but now forwhatever reason I am really starting to enjoy a lot of different flavors.

Could not tell you why because when I first started there is no way I would have guessed that. I was not a "flavors" kind of person.

There is a lot about this whole thing I don't understand but it's working well for me whatever it is.

I used to smoke about 45 cigs/day. The first full day I had my kit the number dropped to about 20/day and stayed there for about 3 week.
3 days ago the number dropped to 9 and has stayed there. I haven't completely quit yet but I can see it happening within the next week or two.
Like others have said here no pressure, each cig not smoked isn't a minus it's a plus.
Good luck to you.
