maybe you should grow up, you are the one here insulting members who enjoy vaping. And calling them un-intelligent. If your not happy with vaping maybe you should go elsewhere and quit trying to make yourself sound better than everyone else.

Delusional.

If you dont like whats written in a thread that I STARTED, go troll elsewhere.

Not sure where i insulted people who enjoy vaping as i enjoy vaping myself...and the unintelligent folks are those who come in the thread, write 4 words with no meaning and disappear. If you feel the need to make a point, at least try to put a good english sentence together.

Tough crowd here...i guess that expected when theres hundreds of snippy ex smokers here.

I don't have any plans to quit vaping, unlike the many times I had planned to quit smoking and failed. But I certainly wouldn't mind if I did. If it happens, great. If not, no big deal.

I'm super cheap, so even the low expense of vaping bothers me in comparison to not spending any money at all. Good thing I don't try to calculate the "cost" of time spent on the ecf.

I get the spirit of the original post, and I find myself wondering too. Firstly, with regard to smoking cessation, vaping is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Seriously, I have become a pretty vocal advocate and have been responsible for 10 or more smokers trying it, in the last month. So, I'm totally down with vaping as a means of smoking cessation.

Is it safer than cigs - hell yes! Do I now feel better than I did, when I was on cigs - oh yah. And I entirely sure it's safe - not really. To be honest, there are some morning I wake up with some trouble breathing and a sore throat. But, this needs to be put into perspective, as I know I vaped over 15ml just yesterday.

At a minimum, it's a matter of moderation, and I feel physical symptoms, when I vape too much. Not a matter of VG or PG, it's about whether it's 2ml or 12+ml. At least that's been my experience. Still, I always wake up feeling better than I did, after even one pack of smokes.

The jury is still out for me. I do enjoy vaping, and plan to continue for a while. But I do plan to cut down significantly, at a minimum. That's how I look at it.

I've noticed in this and other threads a defensive reply when asked about health concerns and abstinence from vaping.

The 'ol "It's better than smoking" or "We're all going to die of something" is a knee-jerk reaction.

We really don't know what 6 mls a day of PG flowing through your respiratory system does.
Nor the effect of some oils or flavors.

As humans (and primarily Americans), we tend to do things to an unhealthy excessive amount.
3 packs of reds a day, a fifth a day, a big mac meal a day, an 8pack of coke a day, 8 hours of video games a day, etc.

Its amazing how resilient the body is. I'm guilty of some of these personal excessive pleasures too.

But somewhere in the back of your head, you just know that in the long run, these vices will have a detrimental effect.

As of now, I'm vaping and buying more vaping supplies. Cigarettes have become a distant memory (geez, it hasn't been 2 months yet). Some day, all my stuff will be in the classifieds.

Well said.

Now I vape. There may or may not be potential health issues.

Worry. Stress is proven to cause serious health issues.

I will vape and not worry. :)

Also well said.

People tend to believe what they want to believe. Me, I love vaping and I'm so haping I don't smoke anymore. But, I won't ignore any info regarding harmful effects if it should surface. I will assess the risk and make a decision. That is my responsibility, not the FDA's

I can certainly understand this point. If you're really not into something why spend money on it? I'm all for people who want to quit vaping. It just means more juice for me.

I vape 0 nic and started that way right after quitting cigs. I like it, I just love blowing CLOUDS! I don't think i'll ever quit. I might for a bit just because I don't need it, but I don't need a lot of things that I still use or want.

So yes I guess I am addicted to the routine or handling and sights that come with smoking. I usually hold a big vape cloud in my mouth and slowly blow it out. Lol LOVE IT.

I'm 70 and I've been vaping for a year and a half. I don't have any plans to stop because I enjoy it. I was looking at a miserable death like my brother and Dad experienced if I would have continued smoking. I was diagnosed with COPD five years ago and couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without stopping midway to catch my breath. This weekend I was teaching my grandson how to ride a bike and had to run up and down the driveway several times. Two years ago this would have been impossible for me to do. I don't use my two prescribed inhalers anymore except at bedtime and don't need it then. I haven't had a cold or cough since I started vaping either. I think if anything the pg vapor is doing me more good than harm. So I don't plan to quit at all even if they try to take them away from me when I'm in the old folks home. I will have someone smuggle me in one and stealth vape. lol

I used to be an occasional smoker, never a very heavy one. Now I vape, lightly, but probably more often than I would smoke.

I don't plan on quitting unless some negative health information is discovered. From what I've read PG/VG/nicotine is safe to inhale, the only thing I question is the flavorings. My doctors all approve of it, saying it's just vapor.

I will definitely lower my nic levels, and possibly even stop adding flavors to my juice with time.

I just bought some juice with a lower nic level than we've previously used. We haven't tried it yet but will sometime, if it still satisfies then I'll keep using it otherwise go back to the regular strength. I'm not that fussed one way or the other. The only thing I'm certain I'll never do is go back to tobacco.

Cheers
