I stopped smoking the moment I started vaping, smoked for 32+ years and still have some tobacco left (RYO). I did try one after 3days (I'm 16 days into vaping) but it tasted so bad I can't even imagine going back, however I did make sure I was set when I started..joye 510, a boxmod and a passthru..I'm so busy vaping I don't have time for cigs..heh. Vape On!

I quit smoking analogs the same day I started vaping. Vaping tasted better to me and I enjoyed it more. I saved about 10 analogs in a drawer for a long time thinking I might "need" one some day. A couple weeks ago I found that half pack and threw it away, after about 6 months of vaping, I'm confident I'll never need those analogs again.

I was among the lucky ones. My PV was delivered at 7:30AM, I charged the battery for two hours, 'til morning break. I was essentially finished with burning tobacco at 9:35AM the same day.

Now, I have to admit that several days later, after underestimating the battery power needed to make it through a work day, I bummed a cigarette off a co-worker and smoked the nasty thing. And, in the first two months as a non-smoker, with plenty of cigarettes hanging around the house, I lit up several times out of curiosity. But, I couldn't smoke an entire cigarette in those experiments.

It's now been seven months since I even experimentally lit a cigarette.

Last weekend, I spied my brand (an uncommon one) behind a counter off the interstate. The thought crossed my mind to inquire about the cost of a pack. But, I didn't ask.

I am still on analogs 2-3/day got my eGO for 2 days now but i'm having trouble with my charger:( It is interesting and too good to be true. I've been smoking 20-25 cigs/day and after 1 day of vaping the thing I've smoked for 20 years just didn't taste good. Just like that. Reallly want to know what are the long term effects of using PG/VG or by touching liquid nic every day.

This is what I think is happing to me. always vaping in the house. and not taking it outside when I do have a cig. I've been vaping now since Aug. and still have 10 a day. But I do look at it as well I am down from a pack and a half a day....So it's a good thing. But still need to smarten up and not give into the per pressure of my hubby still smoking...

It took me quite a while at first. Reason being vaping too much inside and then feeling like I still needed to go outside and have a smoke. Once I started cutting back on the inside all-the-time vaping and waited till my need for an "outside smoke" to go out and vape, it felt more like an authentic cigarette break. After that it was smooth sailing, although now that I'm vaping full time, I've gotten used to not having to go outside like I used to with analogs.

I instantly quit analogs, I didnt even want to quit, my dad gave me a blu kit and a 510 atomizer and said, "here, i upgraded my stuff, so try this out" the rest is history, havent touched one since, I'm still surprised 7+ months later!

Wow!! So many people seem to give up by accident. your Dad rocks!!!

I quit for 7 days on a Joye 510 but started back when the battery life just wasn't lasting long enough for me. I now have a RIVA and an EGO and I don't have to wait on batteries to charge any longer so I have cut down to 3-4 analogs per day. Ususally first thing in the am , one in the afternoon, and one at night before bedtime. Sometimes at night I just can't get the right taste from my PV - I end up trying several different flavors from my stash and then they all just mix together and nothing tastes good to me. I do really well during the day with my Menthol liquid, I just like to change it up in the evenings after vaping it all day - maybe I should stop that! It's hard to explain but the week I quit I just kept feeling like something was "missing". I got depressed and went and bought a pack of analogs and have felt so much better just knowing that they are in my drawer and I have told myself that it is OK to smoke 3 or 4 per day and that's a heck of a lot better than the 2 PAD that I was smoking before I started vaping. I don't carry them in my purse anymore - just my PV, and they stay in a drawer, not out in plain sight. That seems to help a lot. Hopefully one day I will give them up all together - I've been vaping for about 6 weeks.

I am having a hard time giveing up analogs. I was a very heavy smoker and I have cut down tremendously. Weird but I have found that when I smoke an analog I still want that vape to go along with it...it tastes better and I really like it better. Yesterday I didn't have any analogs...today a couple. I don't have any idea why I think I am missing something if I don't. I have 2 ecigs by me...one a Riva that I love and I Lux that I equally love...well maybe I love the Riva better. Yesterday I used the LR battery on the Lux and am thinking of switching over to the LR tonight even though I like the taste better without it. More vapor and that smokey taste with the LR battery on it.

Hey Samsmom
So you have 3 to 4 analogues a day?? Don't stress about that tiny amount. I think that's fantastic :thumb: A ton better than 2 PAD, wouldn't you agree.
If you need to keep a packet in your drawer for ever and it works for you then do that.

You really are doing well. Hang in there and come on here... often.. there's always someone who can have a chat and help you through when things are tough.
