I refuse to answer these questions on the grounds that I told my wife that all the packages that keep coming to my house were free....the companies just keep sending me all this stuff honey, I order a single $2 carto and they send the rest of the stuff for free to get me hooked...its not my fault....trust me baby, I have not spent more than $20 in the last few months on my e-smoke stuff...BTW it looks like a few hundred dollars is missing from our bank account, AGAIN, I'm going down to the bank tomorrow and get it sorted out I swear sweetie I don’t know how money keeps disappearing like that.

all said and done, ive been back to vaping for about 3 months now. I've likely spent 500$ or so. though the real waste? honestly nothing. I spend hours on youtube watching reviews and learning about what i want to buy before i buy it. When i find a site like ECBlend where i can create my own flavors i research other users reviews on the flavors i plan to use before i click order on what i have mixed. I only have a couple bottles of juice i wont ever use. But i will likely mix them into something else to see if i can "fix" them.

but what i was spending on smokes...
30$ a carton(off brands on the indian reservation) x2 a week = 60$ a week
240$ a month x 3 months = 720$

and i consider myself lucky, single packs of cigarettes run about 10$ in New York state.

but now i have a load of juice, plenty of batterys and clearos, i likely wont have to buy a single drop unless i want to for about 2-3 months.

Not a dime was "wasted" all of it went towards the learning curve. I've spent more on juice than on devices. I'm set on devices and do not need anymore but more than likely will get more just for the "wow factor". Still trying different vendors for different flavors. I do not smoke anymore so none is wasted.

I started on Nov 6, 2012... So far I have purchased a Vapor X starter kit, which ended up having proprietary threading so you can't use any standard attachments on the battery... Poop... So that is now a backup device... $119... I bought all the stuff to recoil / rewick my atmoizers. ~$30... I got an eGo style VV device and a couple of Vision 2.0 clearos ~$45. I bought a Vamo and a Vivi Nova @ 40% off ~$50. I picked up a Lavatube V2 kit and some spare batteries (came with carto/tank, charger, battery case, etc...) ~$150. Picked up some DIY ingredients. ~$50 Got a couple of juices from Heather's Heavenly Vapes $30

So... I've spent about ~$474 since I started vaping... I would have spent arounf $600 if I was still smoking...

So the way I see it... Since I started vaping, I have PAID myself $126 that I would not have otherwise had. I picked up enough supplies and devices to last a couple of years, so I will continue to pay myself more and more!

Not to mention I can breathe better, my migraines are gone, my sense of taste is slowly becoming restored...

I don't consider any of that a waste! Not one dime! :)

I don't really consider it wasted untill I pour it out someday (if ever) but i spent around 40$ on a couple bottles of v2 juice that I dont like much. I'm keeping it around for when/if I run out of my regular favorites.

I look at it as a similar thing to the days when I ran out of smokes, had no money, or just plain didn't want to run to the store, so I would revisit all the 'half smoked' butts in the various ashtrays I had laying around.. lol. those 2 bottles are my 'half smoked butts' bottles :)

Not wasted, just could have spent the money on something better I guess.

the only money that was "wasted" was $27 on these attys from china that don't even want to fire...
but it taught me that i better start liking clearos lol
i only have purchased a couple of juices that tasted icky, so woooo me!!
BTW, after expenses i have saved over $100, i have plenty of gear and juice, i WANT more dripping attys and a rebuildable one, bUT i could live without them...

I'm in the "lots spent, little wasted" category. I started with sample sized juices - easier to dump $3 than $15 - and it took me a while to figure out what I would like and find a good juice supplier. I've sold off equipment I've outgrown to friends who are starting up. It was a pretty quick progression from eGo to eGo Twist to Provari. I didn't want to mess around with a lot of upgrades in between, especially when more advanced electronics are involved.

I probably "wasted" the most money on clearomizers early on. Buying the wrong resistance. Buying rebuildable models for a higher price and then having the replacement heads become unavailable (after buying replacement heads that were not a match to the original and had zero air flow). I probably also threw out more than a few that could have been cleaned properly and revived.

At least now I know to do some research here and make wiser purchasing decisions and maintain my current equipment appropriately.

I think about $10 on e-juice samples I don't like. I'm trying to be economical even though I've spent much more than I would have liked already. Despite what I've spent it's still cheaper than buying cigs.

If I wanted to be extremely frugal I would buy

eGo spinner or twist. Whichever is cheaper. 2 of them
Some t3 or vivi nova clearamizers.
pure e-juice without any flavoring.

Instead I bought a volt starter kit. 6 or 7 packs of cartomizers, tons of e-liquid samples. An ego spinner and some vivi nova tanks. I'm not being very frugal but compared to some I am.

Actually "wasted"? Not much.. there have been maybe a bottle or two of juice and some carto/atties here and there that I'd consider a waste. I'm pretty good at using everything I buy though, a lot of my friends are amazed with some of the juices I can put up with. Although I do wish I had skipped the whole ego/epower phase and gone right to mod-ville.
