I am glad I have the choice right now to use my personal vaporizor and I sincerely hope no one is going to take that choice away from me because without it, I know I would end up back on cigarettes like I did the last 6 times I quit.

I like that alot.

Remember, you will have VERY little air time, let alone all the editing they do. So sum up as much as possible in 1 sentence, yes...ONE sentence.
Been there, done that with another product (not related), I couldn't believe the cutting they did.

Best of luck, PLEASE post a link to the video/show.

So non-smokers can relate, you could try a version of this analogy I sent to a local newspaper reporter:

"Imagine if someone invented an auto fuel that was 100% renewable, gave your car better performance, lengthened the life of your engine, had little or no emissions and was 50% cheaper than gas. But the government banned it, because testing of 19 cars (out of millions) indicatred it still had trace amounts of pollutants and they claim the enhanced performance would cause teenagers to drive recklessly. Wouldn't you be be perplexed and outraged that you were being denied this amazing, alternative fuel? That is how we feel about the controversy over electric cigarettes."

That is, if the banning, etc even comes up.

I love it! Well put, and put in terms that normal people should understand! Oh wait, we're not dealing with normal people :nah:

Either way, the government/special interest may not get it, but this is a good analogy for people who are using their brains!

Theres a lot of great advice here, and I would if allowed and possible take my own recording device just in case they do sound byte your responses or statements.

Good luck and enjoy letting your voice be heard.

Oooh, that's a good idea. Do you have to get their permission before you do something like that or can you hide it in a pocket?

answers i don't have , suggestions are on tap

I have some faith in him, I'm going to assume that he is going to look about like he does in his user picture, well dressed and clean cut. Even though it is just for a local tv station, you never know where it will get syndicated perhaps to a national news station like CNN or something, so it would probably be a good idea to wear a suit.

Also, depending on where they are doing the interview, if they are doing it at your house it may be a good idea to send the wife and kids away (if you have them) so there isn't anything going on in the background. :p

A spot of sunshine, I was interviewed this morning by Ann Varnum for WTVY television channel 4 here in Dothan, AL. It was funny she wanted me to puff on my epipe when she started the interview, stating that our guest are here and they are not smoking. This was not a witch hunt by any means, she even read a testimonial by a 52 year old man that had cancer of the tongue and lost part of it, and was replaced by a piece of his forearm. The man had tried everything to stop smoking and 2 weeks after his surgery started again figuring if it took 30 years to manifest he had time. After he tried an electronic cigarette he was hooked, and has been analog free for over a month. She was more interested in our (mine and Susan a fellow vaper) story on what it did for us. In closing she displayed the business owner’s telephone number selling ecigs in this area and to contact him if you were looking for an alternative to smoking.
Overall I think this will be a very positive review.
Thanks to everyone for the prep.
It airs Sep 13th.
