Are there any unhappy Provari users out there?
How many of you Provari owners have had to scource an O-ring to fix a wonky 510 center pin?
Had the electronics fail?
Had a Provari suddenly start performing erratically?
I would like to hear some of these thoughts from you Provari owners...

I agree with p.opus here (except for the vow of silence part ). There really are no unhappy ProVari users. If they don't like it, they sell it and get something different or put it in a drawer and use something different. People that use it, are pretty happy with it.

Had a Provari suddenly start performing erratically? Yep. 3 different things caused it.

1. The first generation Hippo airflow adapter required that you wrench it on to the top of the ProVari (Literally. Finger tight, then a half turn with a wrench). When I took it off, the center pin was stuck down in the ProVari so low that only one of my atomizers worked on it. I had to pull it back up with a pair of needlenose pliers.

2. It would randomly shut off. This was caused by dirty (oxidized) battery contacts. A quick clean with a pencil eraser and it was back up and running.

3. It would randomly shut off. This was caused by a compressed battery spring. I stretched it back out and it's been fine ever since.

You should probably exclude REO and Super-T owners. I hear the CS from those two manufacturers is just as good as ProVapes.

I don't expect that level of service because I didn't pay $200 for my mod. I paid 1/5th that.

The example you gave showed an issue where an out of warranty customer paid $65.00 to have a burned out PCB board replaced. If the PCB board goes out on my MVP it costs me $45.00. I also get a new battery, new fire button, new display and new 510 connector for free.

The point is, I can get a brand new unit for less than what you paid to get it repaired.

If my MVP fails within a year....I'm hosed. But if my MVP lasts longer than a year, the continued cost of ownership for an MVP and ProVari are nearly identical.

Seriously, these are well built units. I have occasionally seen reports of failures, but they are typically repaired and returned promptly.

The design of the product has not changed in several years, so they have ironed out the wrinkles.

As much as I have busted the ProVari (actually it's owners). I have to admit their quality is beyond peer.

The only question you need to answer is how much is that worth to you? Are you going to be vaping long enough to justify the $200 to $250 dollars you need to purchase one and batteries (depending on how you customize it).

If so....drop the dime. If you see your self not vaping for a long time, then there are lots of other alternatives out there that will last long enough, at a fraction of the price.

Previously quit smokes for 1-1/2 years and wound up going back to them and smoking for another 8+ years till discovering Vaping.
I like "consumer things" that actually last ( I keep a car at least 10 years before even considering trading it).

Correct. You get what you pay for, we agree on something!!!

MVP == Cheap Chinese throwaway boxy device with no stateside warranty or post warranty service options. Eventually will be worth $0. I think its priced appropriately, as is the Provari.

So true...I have both the REO & Provari, and as the hands of time flow (along with other mods) these two keep watch over my little mod empire! It's a peace of mind thing.

You won't hear it....Once you purchase a ProVari and enter the ProVarinati, you are sworn to a vow of silence regarding any potential problems with your ProVari....

I went back as far as 1/2014 after 6 pages of thread titles in the Provari forum. Yes, rarely problems occur with a Provari, but Provape takes care of the issues promptly.

But then I did a little research and ran into a major ethical problem with supporting the company. It seems that the ruggedness of these devices was tested by beating baby seals and puppies to death..

You can't beat a seal to death with a cig a like..Seals like cig a likes.

The point I was making is that an out of warranty repair costs a ProVari owner as much as a new purchase does for me. If I run over my MVP 2 with a lawnmower, cost or replacement is $45.00 for me....159.00 for ProVari owner (plus battery)

If I need a PCB replaced on mine...$45.00. $65.00 for Provari owner.

Getting your unit repaired is a great benefit, but it's not so great if the cost of the repair exceeds the replacement cost of a comparable unit. (And yes, performance wise, the MVP is a comparable unit...)

I love how some accuse me of projecting that my MVP2 will last at least two years based on LiPo discharge cycles. but these same certain owners talk about how they are certain they will get 10 years or a lifetime of use out of their product when there is no ProVari out today that is over 4 years old.

I had a guy ask me to send him the SVG file, because he was etching it on to his bike. One other guy was doing it to his ProVari with a laser.

I have not heard from either. I suspect it is much easier to render digitally than engraving on metal...but...
