Lu...Which model did you get? .... 3.7volt or 6volt? I am glad it worked out for you. How is the build of the LightVaper? Is it built to last? Do you use carts or are you strictly dripping with the light vaper?
On to another point.....you turned me on to the VK, how come your selling it off?...The only weak point that I see so far is the battery life. I would wait and see if Ted can make his LV work with the VK. With the right equipment he could make the it work with VK carts in two minutes (see my post above). With the power of the LightVaper the VK carts could vape much better...just like the 901 ats vape better with it.
Ed, I got the 801LV long....3.7volt...2400mah. It's a beast! The battery is huge....and a bit heavy but when in the device, it doesn't feel heavy at all. And I would definitely say it was built to last. Really sturdy. I only use carts....no dripping yet...but that's what I do with all my devices because I vape so heavily, it's too much to keep dripping every couple of drops. Topping off lasts longer for me.
As far as the VK, I won't say it's a bad product, rather just not for me. For one....the carts only go to 24mg, and I use 36. I was topping it off too but honestly, that became a drag for me. And the batts would be dying by the end of the day even though I alternated between 2 or them and my pipes. Too much maintenance for me. Funny thing is...I had tried it with the hopes of it being a device I could easily carry when going out for a few hours....but with the topping off and battery life, it wasn't working out that way.
The thing is, even if Ted could mod to the VK carts, I still wouldn't use it because for me, those carts needed a lot more topping off than my other devices. I don't know if they are smaller...or just not as absorbent...or what, but I was only getting a few drags off them before I had to top off again and that was just too much for me.
Seems most VK users love theirs (including Steve) and he is a heavy vaper but I guess the disposable just isn't the way for me.
When I first got my Mini Pipe....I just knew it worked for me....so I did a review right away. This is how I feel about the LV too. On the other hand, when I got my SD, I didn't do a review of it because it just didn't feel "comfortable" to me....I ended up selling it. Same with the Dura-C.....and now the VK. There was just something about them that I felt I needed to give it some time to see how it went....and they didn't end up being "my thing". But with both the pipe and the LV, I don't feel that way at all. They just "felt good" from the get go....if you know what I mean.
As a matter of fact, I am going to give it a few more days of testing and if it is still working out well for me, I'm going to do a review between the LV and the SD. So keep an eye out!
