well hopefully the boges fit LOL

ETA: the smok are not really on my list of things i want to purchase...i had two (now none) that came with the tanks...not my fave LOL

The Boge kinda fit. Basically, as long as your drip tip is nice & tight it will be fine. Just don't pick up your mod by the tank.
They are loose as all get out & stick up about .5mm above the top cap. They don't leak, at least the two I'm using don't. Yet.
BUT...
I've never used carto tanks, so maybe they're supposed to be loose?

I kind of depends on the tank. I've had them too tight, but never too loose, except with flangeless cartos, but the problem was getting them even when I first put them in.

Interesting!
Even the included Smok cartos are loose.
With a clean dry tank (SMOK Pyrex DC Tank) & new Boge F16 carto it takes 2.5 oz. (roughly) to pull the carto out. (No drip tip)
Just seems like it should be 10 oz. and above. I can fix it by changing o-rings, no biggie. But I think I'll get a different tank, don't like the looks of the Smok.

Now what did we say about staying away from the beginners forum?

He seems confused about what a 510 thread is, since the iTaste V3 appears to have both 510 and ego threading. I've got to admit that V3 with ohmeter and VV/VW looks interesting. It's too advanced for her though, she really doesn't want to know about that stuff. Sounds like she's getting the Spinner and following your advice - mission accomplished so well done.

Only thing I'd suggest is maybe I would have told her to start at minimum volts and turn it up in stages rather than starting at 3.7V. I just got a 2.6 ohm Evod clone from FT that turned out to be 1.8 ohms. Of course I only found out what the problem was after I got home because I use twists at work. (Packages that get delivered to work WILL get vaped on. :D

That is odd. I use Smoktechs in my IBTanks and haven't had a problem with looseness, just tightness.

Ummm...yeah. Considering the picture in the link he posted clearly shows the threading in the iTaste. And I should have told her to start low with all of this FT stuff around. I've used 1.7Ω cartos on Twists, but I don't remember what I initially set the voltage at.

It was just annoying the heck out of me when he said she probably already had an adaptor to use 510s with and eGo, and then spouting off about ohms, et al, when she just wanted something easy.

Actually all jokes aside, I think we should make point of helping people in the beginners forum when we can. Voice of reason and all that.

Goodness knows how many noobs are burning cartos on Prothingies right now because no-one helped them buy something more suitable. (and cheaper).

I for one am glad you didn't stay away, the OP would have been totally confused by the Itaste poster, you did her a favor with the Twist/Spinner recommendation. While the Itaste deal, especially the one from Fasttech is a great deal, she didn't seem ready for it yet.

I got to admit if I didn't already have more devices than I need, I would consider that Itaste.

Did you notice the Itaste posters join date is listed as Oct of 2009, you would think someone with close to 4 years would have been a little more knowledgeable about the device they were recommending.

Yours was the better advice, Your Highness. Don't let it get you down.

Happy Friday to all! Hopefully most of you are NOT working like me today.

Damn, this Evod clone on the K-100 is kicking my ..... Why didn't anyone tell me about these things? I think it's going to be my go-to device for out and about on the twists so I'll get some more of them when things settle down and I know if I've still got a job or not.

Only down sides: 1.6 ml capacity (but I don't vape that much at work) and the tiny window makes it difficult to see when the juice is low. (Note to self, when the flavour starts to go, it's time to fill the tank *before* it tastes burnt.

Haven't tried the Evod clone on my #8, using it on my Zmax mini. The Evod clone has been a pleasant surprise, not sure who makes them but I have been impressed with mine. Rebuilt the head last night, mainly just because I could, now it is 1.8 ohms, gotta love these things.

I'm finding the higher resistance 2.4 ohm coils with the mechanicals are a bit nicer with my liquid. It's a good match.

I always have trouble making a higher resistance coil. I put 5 wraps on there which is about all I can fit on the screw-on head type devices and it always comes out 1.8-2.0 ohms. Maybe they use a thinner gauge wire on them? I've never really looked.

If your evod has that clear plastic top/tip someone in another thread said you can tip it and see if you still have juice in it from there. Might help in the does this thing have juice left in it department.
