I was in another thread and the we almost lost the thread. We were very lucky to hold on to it, and that thread had some advantages this one does not have. I can't say much about it, nor do I wish to, but we in this thread we need to be very careful about developing a reputation as a gang. The Mods are fair people, and doing a thankless job, but they have to keep the Forum as free of drama as they can.

I agree with your point wholeheartedly. If a bunch of us run to a thread to offer support to a newbie, no one is gonna have an issue with that.

I know this much; The entire time I have known The Ocelot, I have never known her to post in any single thread so frequently as this one. She may well have and I am unaware of it. I am glad to know I can come here to find her. I won't speak for her, but I suspect she comes here because she likes this group.

I know I like it a lot. (Note: NOT ALOT) I would miss it if we lost it. That is the only reason I bring this up.

I like the people on this thread and feel we have developed a unique online friendship here, I enjoy seeing the rest of you on other threads. We may have went overboard in some of the threads, so hopefully we can tone it down and keep this thread active. since i always seem to be contrary.....(owning it)......
sometimes i post in threads i see posted here and sometimes i don't....i end up in the same threads as a lot of the ppl in this thread just because they are in my "new posts" search and look interesting/entertaining....
just so happens that regardless of our animal affiliation, location, gender, mod choice....it isn't surprising to me that we end up in the same threads without a "call to action".....

I think it depends on the light we are casting on it. FOr example the thread I posted for Ocelot to look at is a very positive thread with a very positive shout out to our kitty. I don't see the mods having a problem with a bunch of us posting in it if we are being positive.

Um, I haven't caught up on all of the opinions about our warning AT ALL, but I'm of a slightly differing opinion, it seems. We can surely poke a few sticks still with indemnity. The mods have nothing against rants or vents. I spend much more time in the OUTSIDE! than any of you, and nothing here even comes close to comparing with the content of those threads. I think we got reported by one person, and I'm quite confident I know which one (actually a friend, I think). That's what calls their attention to any given thread the HUGE majority of the time (not obsessive surveillance). No problem with highlighting the trainwreck threads...I've been in SO many threads where folks do just that without any trouble. A specific name was named here; I knew that was not advisable, and I should've said as much at the time. Sorry to interrupt with my , but I'm a little slaphappy that Princess P has joined our ranks.

ETA - Avoid the sarcasm, Atty?! What in the world are you talking about? No one has ever gotten an infraction for sarcasm. Naming a person along with personal attacks? Most def. Sarcasm and snark? Not so much.

I agree with Becks. AND I agree with Lion. I don't think we should completely stop the sarcasm and fun, we just need to keep it more on the "down low." Some people get testy. I would hate to lose our ranting and informative thread, but on the other hand, I don't want us to puke rainbows, either. I am sure we can continue on straddling a fine line here in the caves. We just have to remain mindful and aware. We can use PM notifications if we REALLY want to know. Oblique references should still be allowed. Most of us can figure it out with minimal detective work.

Ocelot, our "Star," you are not the only one, my friend. My fingers have a mind of their own, and I need to learn how to EDIT, EDIT and delete.

Oh, the ancient REO runes are the ones to trust. The modern apocrypha will lead you only to RBAs (specifically King Rob's REOmizer 2.0). These mini cartos seems to have been made for the Squonk - http://www.reosmods.com/index.php?p...category_id=20&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=3. Easy Squonk, and you're back in business every time until it's just run its course. Then your trusty trash can clean-up method comes into play. I'm sure you already have some Cisco Spec lr attys (some love the 306 with REOs; I stick with 510s), and they work great. These are almost as good and less expensive - Empiremods Bridge Free LR510 1.8ohm. Many will tell you to shell out the $ for the HH.357, but I'm not one of them. Many apologies that I haven't confirmed it, but that wooden block of wonder is a fixed 3.7v mod, right? So many REOnauts are on my back to move on to RBAs, and this is my answer -

Evods don't generally work a Vamo, but Protanks are great. The problem with the Evods is that they really were designed mostly for Ego type devices. Something you you might have to keep in mind if you want to stay with them.

You might take a peek at The Ocelot's collection - Vamo, Prothingy, Zmax, Bobo, and now a woody soon to arrive. You might need to dress most of them up a bit.
