How tremendous! A whole month of aaaaahhhhhh for El Desperado of Vamora! I'm thrilled for you, my friend! Spill on what it is I've been practicing saying. I found it here - What's Under the Kilt? - Language - but without the translation, and I also realized it was supremely dweeby of me going looking for it (I'm a bit google slaphappy). That site is fun, but I don't know that I really trust it - I find it hard to believe that "the posh Scot thinks 'sex' is what the potatoes are delivered in." I double dog dare you to put the Sea Monkey death rate up in your home somewhere
! Yeah, I wish we had the technology to record a little sample of our voices and a button to click to hear a sentence or two on folks' profile pages. But I guess the Brains should be focusing on our personal jet packs first.

I'm one of those people who's pretty convinced I don't have an accent, but I know that's hooey if I travel abroad. I'll admit that I loved how tickled folks in England were with my accent when I spent my wonderful summer there. We're all sure gonna miss you when you're unplugged for so long, but I hope your holiday is just glorious (I know you're not shoving off just yet, but what'll it hurt to repeat that?)! I bet you've signed off, so it's gonna be a cliffhanger on the mystery sentence. I hope you're just a fish magnet tomorrow. Some requisite lolcat -

Cheers becks. I finished second today from 5 entries and the fishing was hard. The winner managed 6lb made up of 3 small carp and nothing else. Caught these within the first hour of the match. Then it was so darned hot and humid the fish all hid and sulked in the depths of the lake. I managed 13 oz of 2-3 inch fishes for second place. But like i said it was a poor day to fish with the weather an all. Still a bad day at the lakeside is always preferable to a great day at work every time.
Now then the much anticipated translation for the practicing Scottish speech.
Braw = beautiful
Bricht = bright
nicht = night
the nicht = tonight
och aye = oh yes
the noo = now
so. It's a braw bricht moonlicht nicht the nicht. och aye the noo = it's a beautiful moonlit night tonight.oh yes.
I'll still be foruming until Monday nicht (see what i did there) and then no technology except for the occasional web search for golf tee times!
So funny a friend of mine asked what I was going to have the baby call me. I looked at her kinda weird and said Grandma. She thought I would have him call me something different because I am not that much older than his mom and dad. My hubby was married once before and is older than I am. She said that some of the younger grandma's her knows are called Aunt instead??? That is way to weird for me![]()
This remind me when we had Shannon. I used to say to her " let's go visit grandpapapapapa" sometimes putting just a couple of extra papas on the end or sometime more than a couple just for fun. You should have seen grandpa's face when she said " I love you grandpapapa!" priceless memories and now that he's away to a better place she still remembers this.
My wife's daughter on the other hand has a 5 year old and she calls me Grandy because she already has a gramdpa (wife's first husband (and not much of one either. Also not much of a grandpa either but that's another story)) and i didn't really fancy grandad as a name as it just sounds like I'm an ancient old fuddy duddy . So now I'm grandy (my first name's Andy (not mediocre)). It works well for us. I don't believe it matters too much as long as you are the best grandmamamamamama there is
