Eerily similar to our Black Widow. Time for some chemical warfare if the are anything like their American look-alikes.

They are indeed related to the black widow. Redbacks rarely leave their nest and you normally spot the nest before the spider. The females are larger and the most dangerous because their fangs are long enough to bite. About 6% of people have a serious reaction to them and need the antivenom, but there have been no deaths from them since the antivenom was developed in the 60's. Bites normally occur when people inadvertently put their hand in a nest - when I was about 14 a friend got bitten and he spent a week in hospital and nearly died. They said he had an unusual and severe allergic reaction.

We have used mud-dauber wasps to control them quite effectively at our river house. The wasps do not sting, even when handled. The destroy Black Widows with quiet efficiency.

That sounds fine to me. Let nature take care of nature, unless it's in my way. I gave a small spider (not a black widow) several warnings the other night. I pushed it off of my desk, but it kept crawling back up. I knew at some point I would forget it was there and get bitten, so I gave it as many chances as I could. Ultimately, I apologized and squished it.

Get one of these Triple V Tank Tool helps to not damage the O-rings and rocks at filling the tank.
I seem to recall you have a SYM, what kind of tank is it?
I have the Slap Yo' Mama tank tool (same thing as the triple V really)
it is the Smok pyrex tank...it seems like there is a "lip" on the inside of the top cap.....the ikv doesn't look longer or larger in diameter to the naked eye but the smok tank sure knows it isn't one of it's kin

That is why I love the mud-dauber. They could crawl right over top of you and you could pick it up by its wings, and the likelihood of a sting would remain very remote. The sting itself is far preferable to the black widow, which reminds my buddy Harvey of his gunshot wound from the Gulf War.

I have no experienced being on the receiving end of a gun, but I can imagine that is about right. I got two Black Widow bites in three minutes one day installing some duct work in an attic. I told them, "one more of those things bites me, and I am gonna go get the sting-eze out of the truck." Of course, the resulting loss of ridiculous macho respect for this would have haunted me for decades. My buddy Keith still tells the story with a glint of pride in his eyes. ( I was his apprentice at the time )

I said not a word. But I cried like an infant on the inside. It was blinding, the pain in my left arm.

Oh owww! My step-father, who is a doctor (now retired) got bitten by a rattlesnake. He did the macho thing. My mother is a drama llama and was screaming. I, on the other hand, do not panic, but my sarcastic wit increases 10-fold. Hilarity ensued.

Eeew, spiders....seeing them is good medicine though.
So it was that Spider wove the first primordial alphabet, as she had woven the
dream of the world that had become manifest. Spider's dream of the physical world had
come to fruition millions of years before.

Spider's body is made like the number eight, consisting of two lobe-like parts
connected at the waist, and eight legs. Spider is the symbol for the infinite possibilities of
creation. Her eight legs represent the four winds of change and the four directions of the
medicine wheel.

Spider weaves the webs of fate for those who get caught in her web and become
her diner. This is similar to humans who get caught in the web of illusion in the physical
world, and never see beyond the horizon into the other dimensions.
The web of fate also represents a wheel of life, which does not include any
alternatives or solutions. It is typically human to get caught in the polarity of good or bad
fortune without realizing that we can change it at any time. If we are not decisive enough
about changing our lots in life, we may end up being consumed by our fears and
limitations.

Spider is the female energy of the creative force that weaves the beautiful deigns
of life. Her web has hundreds of intricate patterns which catch the morning dew.
If Spider has dropped from her web into your cards today, she may be telling you
to create, create, create! Look for new alternatives to your present impasse. She can also
be warning you that you are coming too close to an entangling situation. Spider could be
asking you to use a journal to write out and review your progress. If you do this, you will
not forget how you are creating a new of different phase in your life.

In vaping news I just rescued a protank, yay! I'm back up to 3 functioning protanks now. This was the protank that fell to the tile floor without a PV attached and got the bottom threading dented in. I found a rounded chop stick and was able to work the dent out. It's firing beautifully now on the VAMO! woot :vapor:

I'll have to give that a try! What is it with the bottom of Protanks? I had one attached to the Bobo and it fell on the floor. It still works, but is noticeably bent to one side.

I just got three of these for this same issue. My ProVari is unscathed but, I had fatally wounded two Protanks (I thought).

I got the bases three days after ordering them from these guys. They were like 3 bucks each. Protanks as good as new now.

(now sold out-try the link below)

These guys are in stock and have them on sale. Order some before you need them.

What wasn't nice? I meant it. What don't you like about the iTaste? I think it looks kinda cute.
It wouldn't roll around, either. AND, it looks kind of like an eGo.

BTW, I found a GREAT reason for getting the Calibash:

Isn't that the brand the fanboy pushed on Ocelot's Noob last night? Or am I mistaken. So many stories, so many brands. What is a lion to do?

If you like it, go for it. I like round, tube mods. So on that issue of its looks, it could just be me.

I so know what you're talking about now, had the same problem, got frustrated with it and gave it to my sister's boyfriend. I don't know if he had any success, because I hate talking to the guy. But I'll find out. Thanks to the magic of liquor.

And kill any spider you see, kill them with fire.

Yes. It WAS. I don't think she had a problem with the equipment, but what the stoopid guy was telling the noob---ohms, watts, all kinds of BS. Since I am technically not a noob, I think I can figure out how it works. :D Are you not proud that I am branching out, a little?

I am also thinking of getting a REO. I don't really like that website, though. It has "issues."

Yeah!! For real, what is it with the Protank bottoms?! From my observations, the threading is a very weak thin metal that doesn't seem soldered correctly to the bottom disc.
Chops sticks saved the day though on the bottom that didn't get it's threading chopped :)
