I gotta stay away from...

I somewhat agree and somewhat disagree. I have a learning disorder, so there are some things I just can't get, no matter how I try - and believe me, it's not for lack of trying. What bothers me is people who don't listen and/or fail to use critical thinking skills. The "upside" for me learning differently, is that I NEVER expect something will work when it is explained to me. As someone tells me how to do something I usually take notes, but at the same time I'm breaking down the steps into 5 different ways I might be able to get to the same result. One of them has to work, right? Or if it doesn't, I break it down again. The most important thing for me is understanding the general concept. This has led me to be very creative and think quickly.

I admit it, I'm judgmental, and probably a hypocrite, since I often ask the same question more than once. But at least I endeavor to rephrase the question so it doesn't appear I'm asking the same thing. I try not to whine. I also don't ask people to fix things for me. The way my whacky brain works is if I didn't understand what they did to fix it, I would be dependent on them. I do not panic. I do not show fear. Google is my friend.

I typed up this huge reply... TWICE... click post and it'd say i was logged out.. so Ima keep this one short and simple.

I completely understand. i have ADD and some learning issues as well. I learn pretty much only by doing. Fortunately, I do a lot of things so I'm not a complete idiot lol. When it comes to the skateboard forum I attend, I refuse to help people that don't help themselves. I try to tell them they need to be able to skate without their hand being held. When I started skating in 1993, i didn't have the internet to ask stupid questions. Besides, a simple search would answer anything about skateboarding because everything has been covered multiple times there lol.

I'm back in GA for work tomorrow. :-(

But I had a great vacation. I think I'm in love too, which is strange for me... I've never been so attracted to a woman before. I'm fairly certain the feeling is mutual too.

(If you can't relate to the components, such as you don't eat frozen food, don't participant)

1) You are hungry
2) There is a package of frozen spaghetti in the freezer
3) You put it in the microwave

The directions are cook for 3 minutes, stir, and cook for another minute

4) At the 3 minute mark you take it out
5) Because there is never enough sauce in it, you stir in some sauce from a jar in the refrigerator and some Parmesan cheese
6) Put in back in the microwave for the remaining minute
7) While it is cooking you put away the cheese and jar of sauce
8) You suddenly notice a big furry ball of mold is covering the entire inside of the sauce jar lid
9) Ding!
10) Do you eat the spaghetti?

No. Food poisoning is not worth the time off work.

Has there ever been a study of second-hand styling products?

i'm not sure if you're serious but just in case.....
there have been HUGE issues over the "brazilian blowout" type treatments. (and supposedly regulations/standards put in place that required a lot of manufacturers to change their formulas....i think canada outlawed them altogether for a while? maybe still?)
some salons don't allow them to be performed and some only on certain days.
i know of at least one stylist that left a salon because even tho she didn't do them, the others did and it impacted her health too negatively to stay there even tho she loved her co-workers.
they affect some ppl, some not at all, and some differently. I get a bronchial/sinus thing and what i call a "keratin hangover" the day of and the morning after i do a keratin...really tired, headache, scratchy throat. when other ppl do them incorrectly (which a lot do) by using too much product there is a LOT of..heheh...wait for it "vapor" (product burn off) that bothers me differently. immediate watery eyes and headache (but they use a different product than i do...and they are doing it WRONG! LOL)
some can't breathe at all...some their eyes water and get puffed up, some itch...just all over the reaction map...
i do know that the environment that i am in does have an affect on my skin and hair...i also know a lady that has been doing hair for like 35 years that now has respiratory issues. she started in the days of weekly hair appointments with tons of shellac/lacquer high VOC hairsprays...before anyone even knew/cared what a VOC was....she still does a lot of that kind of hair work. "shampoo and set" :)
the laws for VOC in aerosols are more strict in california but i don't think it helps that much...with shine sprays and texture sprays and hold sprays that you can SEE in the air....probably a concern...
the color line that other ppl use does seem to offend my sinuses....but the brand that i use rarely effects me.

The BBQ is currently 1000km away, unfortunately.
dammit don't make me do more math....what is it? .6 mile = 1 km? you'd think i'd know the conversion backwards and forwards from watching motogp...but i don't LOL just for you fabs "go casey stoner!" (is he even still racing? if you even follow racing LOL he's an aussie :) i haven't watched in a few years so he might be retired by now at like 22 (ish) years old LOL)

mediocre i was just going to call you a "modder"! I hope that fabs direction makes that true and either a cigalike or your success keeps you away from the nasties!

ocey - depends on how hungry i was but more than likely not....altho a lot of times the mold on the lid is just because it has had more air exposure...but i am really weird about food so again....probably not.

i didn't get even ONE "ppl have posted" email today so i feel like i had to do as much catching up as "modder toker"...ok not really....

so i hate all my stuff again.....if i wasn't lazy...i'd look and see if i could figure out a pattern....

No. I like my liver and kidneys to remain in the healthy state they are now in. It *might* be perfectly fine to eat the ready meal but I don't consider it worth the risk. Doesn't this question apply to any spoiled food you find in the refrigerator?

I wasn't when I posted about it, but then I thought about it.

I thought a Brazilian whatnot has to do with waxing. I didn't know there was blowing involved. I don't want to think about that.

I don't think I've ever had one of those.

ooh now you asked for it ...i am going to make you think about it :)
brazilian blowout is just a brand/marketing term....kind of like Kleenex...they are all some incarnation of a keratin treatment which is a "smoothing" treatment (which also straightens...or at the very least relaxes) without "chemicals".
the keratin fills in the "C" of a curl or wave (if you think of a curl as an S) making it straight...and since it isn't done chemically it just gradually (or quickly if you use the wrong at home care, go in chlorine or saltwater) breaks down rather than having it grow out (so curly haired ppl won't have nappy roots and straight mid-shaft-ends LOL)
It is "conditioning" since hair and nails are made of keratin BUT it is not a miracle product and can definitely do damage or have no effect at all if done incorrectly.... (more than anyone ever wanted to know i am sure)

now....brazilian waxing is a totally different part of the body...and is pretty much like dr evil's cat....completely hairless front and back. there is also a "manzilian" (definitely more than anyone wanted to know ;p)
(i do not offer either of those services! LOL)

He got me there too. 1 = 6.21 or the other way around? I don't feel like Googling it. I'm too busy reading about mold.
