You leave tomorrow, right?

Uhaul drops off a cube for me tomorrow to load my stuff into for shipping. I'm leaving on a jet plane to Pittsburgh next Monday the 19th.
Still have things that need to find their way into a box today. About to make coffee and enjoy a cup or two (over Skype) with  Lord Pancake  this morning as he gets ready for work today. *yawn* *stretch*(

What else is new in your world Kitty?

I wonder if that's was why on mod Envy they asked the guest woman if she was Libertarian?
i hope she remains a "guest"....they were pushing hard for her to be a host
ohnoes.gif

Seriously though: pre-18th century libertarian, modern American libertarian, outright anarchist... so many choices?!?
i am all for less government in my *personal* affairs/choices but....she was very vocal about her label...seems to be more of the
"i do what i want, where i want! eat a bag of *****!!!" variety....

in other news....i wrapped my first coil....ok...i really wrapped like 1,2,3,4ish before i had a successful one...sub ohms all over the place....and widely varied readings between the prov, vamo, multimeter....which if i was a cool kid sub-ohmy kind of girl wouldn't be so bad but... this was for a vivi nova on a provari....i also managed a sub-ohm protank head....pretty sure that one was just shorted...i am going to try again...ya know...practice, practice, practice...and apparently patience.
i am convinced that once i master vivi/protank/evod heads...Rd/bA's will be stupid easy
I will say that this re-wrapped vivi coil is BETTER than any factory coil i have used...so i have a knockoff (smok) vivi nova tank with a mflux clone drip tip....on a provari :headbang: LOL

i have so many things on my "want to do" list that it seems easier to just sit here online LMAO

Hottie one trick I use for vivi/protank heads.

Grab a paperclip and unbend it. Hold the paperclip wire WITH the wick and do your coil wraps around both. Leave the clip in until AFTER you have the 2 wire legs locked in by the rubber grommet and the metal plug. THen just slide the paperclip out.

This does a couple of things. It keeps me from wrapping too tightly and choking off the wick. It also helps me NOT pull the legs so hard that I sink the coil too far down into the base of the head.

The 2 easiest places to get shorts are accidentally crossing the legs inside the head base and letting coil touch the head metal.

with 32 gauge kanthal on a 2.5 mm wick...4/5 wraps usually gets me in the 2-2.3 ohm range depending on how tight I wrap

I took out the trash around midnight Sunday, it was full and for various stinky reasons it couldn't wait until morning. Since I was down by the highway with the trash I decided to check the mail just in case. I had checked the mail around noon on Saturday and it was all junk mail. I expected an empty mail box, not $150 in vape mail. That could have been bad, but I live in a strange world where nobody locks their doors.

---WARNING! TECHI VAPE TALK!---

2 Divers (rebuildable tank cartos) and spare parts had been in the mailbox for over 30 hours! For the money I expected better stock coils and wick but it tasted awful. Good thing they were free. Contest win for the win! Then came the really hard part... I now know how to make NR-R-NR coils. I don't think vaping can get any more complicated than wrapping those coils, especially the way I made them. I don't suggest it unless you've done everything else and want a challenge.

Today, an AGT was in the vape mail. It looks like a miniature AGA-T. I immediately bored out the wick hole to the largest size possible and drilled out the air intake hole. SS mesh was torched and rolled. The top of the wick got some silica sleeving. I made a 3/4 coil with Kanthal ribbon for 1.1 ohms, and it's working great with very little prep time. The video reviews said this thing is a PIA, but they didn't use silica sleeve. This cute little 1ml RBA is totally worth the $28.

i think i was guilty of wrapping it too tightly....dang things are so small...i feel like i need to go write on rice now...after i cut my fingernails...i really don't think wrapping and nails go together (unless you are using a small one to hold your wick) LOL
I was digging around in the garage and found some mini clamps (like you see holding tarps in place) i had gotten at the $.99 store that i had forgotten about...i am going to hold my wick/needle/paperclip with one...i think that will help a LOT
I may have crossed the legs inside without realizing it...

schnarph i am going to come live at your house..."down by the highway" and unlocked doors....altho i really shouldn't complain....by most californian's standards i live in the middle of nowhere (that is just them thar city dwellers thinking so LOL and by city i mean like 1m ppl per square foot :D)....with no yard so to speak...10'x10' at most....i want frolic room!....

and just because

I do something similar, however I use a large gauge sewing needle and 3mm wick. At first I used to lay the needle alongside the wick but found that while the coils are good, they aren't particularly round. Then I hit on the absolute *best* trick. I now push the needle up the center of the wick - not too hard to do - and then wrap it. When the needle is removed the coil is still perfectly round and works even better. This is how I wrapped my series dual coil too; I never would have managed except for that.

Fab I considered doing it that way but unless you are using a silk pin the point of the needle is by definition breaking fibers inside the wick. I prefer not to do that on my long wick clearos since fraying/breaking wick is frequently what sends me recoiling to begin with.

FOr non sewers: Silk when punctured by a pin leaves permanent holes. So you want the pins/needles to move the fibers aside as much as possible rather than cut them and be as slim as possible to minimize hole size. Hence pins specifically designed for use in silk. :)

I'm afraid if I try to rebuild heads I will find out just how badly I need glasses!!

Oh, no. I feel so left out...HOTTIE is wrapping.

I know the feeling. I've had wire and wick since before December sitting in my vape station.

I just saw this video that I 'might' try, if I can find the screw and threader thingy.

My RDA from Fasttech has oval coils, I don't really think that was the intention, but it is 2.4 ohms like advertised and works pretty good, so I left alone for now. The top on this thing fits tight, even when lubed with ejuice, it is the Empire/K100 theme with black and silver as the colors. For around $5 it was a steal.

The Igo W has a pretty tight fitting top also, it has a 2.5 ohm coil that I made, but I just made my coil round, I have no imagination.

What size and type of material are you using for the sleeve Schnarph, and where did you get it? I just may give that a try sometime.

Yay, Steph is getting close to being with Lord Pancake, congrats and I hope the move goes as smoothly as possible.

Platonic koala hugs to all the CCRs:)!

Because it applies to yours truly, too, and because our new Princess Veteran might appreciate it -

Warning-Vet-Medicated-Patch-300x241.jpg

I just remembered some dude on the Venice Beach Boardwalk wearing a big old dashiki with that emblazoned on it a while back, and, sure enough, google images comes though ! The year smoke-free is the real achievement, but congrats on your new status, too, Princess P:toast:!
I don't often remember to check out my friends' activity log on my profile page, but when I do, even though the pictures don't show up there, chelle tends to stand out - amidst loads of vape talk: "The JACKETS!!! I blame Miami Vice."...more friends talking vape..."Oh, and the HATS. I forgot about the HATS!" Is there any wonder why we all love when you come around, most beautiful secret Empress:closedeyes:?
How ridiculously exciting is it that in exactly one little week there will be bliss in the House Of Pancake?!?!!!!
LOVE that pic of the King on his mighty (if less than comfy) Throne, Lion!
I'm also a major fan of your new sig, Schnarph, and I'm glad that you clarified that no unicorns were actually harmed in the gathering of those tears; plus, we got to learn a good new bit of slang because of it - skyting...Fab, you teach us new things from across the whole left brain/right brain specrtum, man:2cool:! On a vape note, I saw you mention that Boge bottom-feeder, Sir Fab; I had one, and I've heard too many stories just like mine: stay far away from that one:p.
What's this "hurting myself" business, Robin?? It wasn't me, it was that dastardly mason jar, I tell ya!! You're just too, too right on that one...five serious concussions before I met all y'all, too [insert hit head one too many times jokes here]. I'm a short person in a very tall person's body, and those beams in parking garages and such are so darn low:?:!
:toast: to hottie for joining Myrany, Sir Steve, Fab, Wizzle, Schnarph, and the rest of the wrapping wiz kids around here! I knew you were heading in that direction, and I'll admit that you all really do impress me. Because of that, I'm gonna forgive you for bringing Physical up in here, hottie:p!
When you mentioned cutting your fingernails, I remembered Lynn's dirty fingernail rant...missing her, and I hope The Fixer has maybe whisked her off to some vacation:closedeyes:...
I'm glad our Lion wasn't with you when you went tubing, Peek - you know he's been known to pierce those tubes with his mighty fangs:ohmy:! ;) Glad you had so much fun! Wear those scrapes as badges of honor:2cool:.
Shadav, big props to you for actually admitting that you owned a Members Only jacket; a lesser woman would surely not have 'fessed up to that:p! Wasn't the biggest fan of Shallow Hal (though I AM a big fan of Jack Black), but that was a great swoop-in with the perfect quote, matt.e.!
Hope this is a lovely week for all the noble (and secretly noble) CCRs:closedeyes:.

Always making me laugh. And THINK!

Lion, Ms. Robin is WAY more attractive than that lady.

I miss Lynnster, too. WTH is she? Doing something in RL??? How DARE she!

I can't see a damn thing up close any more. I will not succumb to the bifocals, yet. If I was to wrap, I would have to acquire new glasses...
