I thought I would clarify, Ocelot. After serious consideration, this is the ranking of the term I have come up with. No doubt, it will be HOTLY contested!

I figure i better put this in for those who lack the reference point for the triple lindy!

I want something that I can use while on rope climbing a mountain, flying down a steep 8 mile curvy downhill on a bicycle as part of a 200 mile ride and I need to keep both hands on the bars, something that I can use when running 10 miles across a pasture, something that I can use while chopping wood.

After looking back at suggestions I got for items and the path that I took I think I could have benefited from fan boys disagreeing with each other. I could pick the information as it applies to me from the debate. If they are afraid to show up I don't benefit as much from the responses. I can't pull much good information though when it is nothing but name calling. I don't mind making errors when there is a lot of good information and would have happily givven my bad purchases to other members.

I am going to do my search on my own and throw away what is not useful to me. I don't know any vapors in real life. I actually only know 1 smoker who ended up with my eGo stuff. I am kind of from a high energy roll up your sleeves and sweat crowd.

I was a recreational climber for many-many years (smoked back in those days) I don't remember EVER smoking a cigarette while I was hanging on a rope! So I can't buy that line.

Hijacking again, but I was playing out of curiosity. I couldn't find the right size tubing (which is I know I have somewhere; I am a squirrel), but I took a carto condom, cut the end off and put it on my Green Smart Living auto battery and it vaped just fine. I'm going to the store later and may buy some tubing (dumb, I know, since that means I will find some in the studio tonight) because I have a strong feeling it will work - sort of like a hookah tube.

The thread has merit because no other device is so forced on people as the Provari. Sure there are responsible owners who actually qualify the person they recommend it to but that is a very small percentage of the overall fan boy base. I've been around a long long time and we had this debate a long time ago.

It's not the best, it's not in many people's budget, and there are many devices out there that have similar function which are. Rather than let people research it is instead paraded around by hordes of users as the only thing you should buy. Well I hate to break it to everyone it's not the answer, it's great and all but it's popularity is largely driven by rabid fans convincing newer users to buy it without any research. When you go from a cigalike to ANY mod you are going to fall in love.

This device also has the only fan base that constantly spams the new members area with "buy this don't waste your money" type comments and wreckless recommendations without even gathering information. I would argue that knowing what I know now I would have skipped VV altogether and went straight to a permanent device like a mech with rba. Unfortunately they didn't exist 4-5 years ago and I would have been clueless about proper use and care of such a thing. Entry devices are there for a reason which is why they are listed in the new members faq.

Again we all know it's great, some disagree about just how great. Most people are probably damn tired of hearing about it in every thread they open when they know very well that it's not nearly what it is claimed to be.

I got my mod, and I admit, I love it way more than my eGo for its capabilities. That being said, I kind of wish I had gone with a mechanical and a RBA tank. Maybe when I find my all day vape, i'll go that route.

It will taste different and may leave you looking for a new ADV.

What do we say judges? I know, technically the terms "fan boy" and "rabid" are not together. Heck, they are in different paragraphs! However, I think since they refer to the same group, I would like to award D4rk50ul the full 5.5 Insult Points I believe he has duly earned! His bold words risk the wrath of The Provarinati which must also be weighed on the scales of justice.

Ocelot? Mr. Mann? What say ye, to the proposed award of 5.5 points?

Perhaps I got a little too cranky here with a few of my post. This topic did just hit a nerve of mine because I have worked retail and sales for 15 years. It's something I have to go through with my sales people very often:

Qualify your customer. Take the time to learn a bit about them and what their needs and expectations are, see what they are willing o spend and build your advice accordingly. The best sales people are the ones who make taking care of the people they are there to help the priority over making a sale. It's something that has made me a a pretty well liked sales person at all my jobs. I still get occasonal gifts from some of them.

I try to take that into any advice I give people. It works both ways, with fanboys and haters. Most of things really are a matter of opinion and we tend to forget that when it comes to things we personally really really like. I think (like has been stated before) we would all do well to be careful when we are advising people and try our best to help them find what might be best of them, instead of just what we like.

i give my clients options that fit their bank account and lifestyle.

the following is not directed at anyone in particular or Whosback...because we know he/she is the bestEST....

I think that everyone has something to contribute....sometimes it is an example of how NOT to act....being rude and insulting because an opinion or passion is not shared is oh i dunno...kind of like "my religion is better than yours so i am going to bomb you"

i can see both sides...you love your device..you want everyone to know how awesome it is.......
ppl need *options* to make their own decisions and "mistakes"...it's called experience
Just because an opinion is shared doesn't mean i will act upon it....that is why it is an opinion and not an order.

since i really *think* that some of you are acting juvenile....knock it off and vape your vape your way (yeah..i DID just tell you what to do LOL)...this nonsense is getting in the way of actual positive sharing of experience....which i think exists on both sides of the proverbial (hey look a prov word that isn't THE prov word!) fence.

p.s. JJOOHHNN...is there a "otterbox" type of sleeve or case that would work on the prov? would that suit your needs?

I am not worried about the carrying part. :) I am on the search for no hands. The cigalikes for hands free are not cutting it for me. :p

At the risk of being dismissed as a cult member (despite using my Twist all morning and my cig-a-like when I went to the store), Just Get A VAMO seems on its way to being the next overused non-sequitious suggestion.
