Hmm, I wonder if they will charge faster than my Trustfire; I suspect it is similar to your xtar? Charging faster would be plenty of incentive to get one of those Nitecores.

I was surprised. I take my batteries out as soon as the low light blinks, so they weren't completely discharged (18350s), but I turned around and they were done. I'm going to time it next time. I put an 18350 in the xtar about 10 minutes ago, so I'll compare them.

Sweet Vapes has the Nitecore too for $16.95 +/- cents.

You have googled bobo and saw the BIG definition tile that shows up at the top of the results, yes?

Glad to hear that you probably will get a butterfly one Your Highness.

I mentioned the Google result last night. I was honestly a bit shocked. I thought I might have had a redirect virus going to a fake page, but I guess not.

Ocelot: I like Baroness of Bobostan. "Stan" countries are very "in" right now.

$2.00 cheaper at FT! Such a deal.

Glad the BOBO is on the way...hoping you will get your butterfly!
(I cannot WAIT until a FT clone shows up!)

Yes, "Stans" are in - pretty much the whole region. Viscountess of Vamora-Bobostan crossed my mind, sort of like "Bosnia -Herzegovina."

I thought Ocelot and Edward might enjoy this:

FEEDING HUGE TIGERS!! - YouTube

See anyone you know? :D

Who the hell is "Edward"? You may call me Lion, Edd, Edward, my lord, or Earl eVic. Edward is that vampire guy in those dreadful movies...

Sorry about that Earl eVic! :)

But I'm confused ... what is the difference between the two highlighted? Did you mean Eddard by chance? :?:

Yes. The Trustfire and many others that have two ports are 500mA chargers, but they are regulated to 250mA per side. This means that they will take about 8 hours to charge a 2000 mAh battery. The Nitecore chargers are 500 mA per side chargers, what is classified as a "fast" charger. They will charge approximately twice as fast. If you have a look the output rating of the chargers you'll see that the Trustfire is 500 mA while the i2 is 1 amp. This is the total, not the per-battery charge rate because each side is regulated. The i4 will of course have a total output rating of 2 amps, hence the much greater cost.

While 500 mA is still a safe (ish) rating for lithium batteries, you may find the batteries getting a little warm. This can affect the efficiency of the charge, and also the long term health of the batteries. I've just bought two extra batteries to have some extras in rotation so that I can always have at least one charged and ready to go, as I prefer to charge at the lower rating and keep the batteries cool while doing so. The long charge times are bit painful however; I don't blame anybody for taking the fast charge option.

Batteries are fairly cheap, maybe get some extras rather than a faster charger? This gives you some extra redundancy as well.

Good info, Thanks Fab! You can never have too many batteries!! :D
