I was in red Robin on Saturday with a vaping buddy, no I usually try not to cause a stir, and not to draw attention to myself when vaping, that said I don't hide it, because I'm not doing anything wrong, my friend is a bit of a noob and proceeded to take a toot and blew it in the air, within seconds there was this supreme dooche who came over from a cross the room and began to berate my friend for "smoking", we informed him it wasn't smoke it was vapor, his response was.....funny "well if any of my customers complain I'm gonna ask you to leave" in a real smart ... tone, my response, don't bother,we'll go eat at Chillis a cross the street, they didn't even give us any crap, and our waitress thought my Darwin "space aged cigarette" was the coolest thing she had ever seen.

I just happened to have a card for Vapor Kings in my wallet and she is gonna try to get her mom on ecigs now.

That is crazy. I bought my starter kit from my local smokeshop, they only carry two different brands, but they've got all their employees vaping right in the store, and any one of them will happily show you how to use them, tell you their favorite flavors, even wink wink nudge nudge, point you in the direction of eliquid providers that have a wider selection than they carry. I asked the manager if he's worried about vaping putting him out of business, and he just laughed. He told me that those who refuse to evolve go the way of the dinosaur, and that he's currently in the process of expanding his selection of vaping products to include a greater variety of kits and juices. Smart guy, and a business that won't likely go extinct.

I vape in every bar, restaurant, store that I go to wih my ego - c, no complaints, but a lot of weird looks and questions about if it really works. If I was selling them I know I could definitely sell at least 2 or 3 everywhere that I go..
When I'm at the bar, if someone is sitting next to me, I ask them if they mind if I use my Ecig and tell them that it is vapor and not smoke... Then they smell the vapor ( either a fruity smell or minty smell), and then they are like ohhhh what is that thing called again, or if they are a cigarette smoker, they want to try it.

Ummm. Is there any law in your area? Some places here in Indiana don't allow smoking within I think like 3 feet or something from a public entrance. If not, As long as there wasn't any posted signs or his property, I probably would have told the guy off and continued vaping. If I can do it right outside of the airport(and in some airports), I think a strip mall or retail center is OK.

There is no law about it, in fact the person asking me about my Saber Touch, was smoking!!! :glare:

I was in a smoke shop a year ago and noticed they had some disposable e-cigs.
I asked the guy behind the counter if he new what was in the juice.
He replied ... NO, and commented that he didn't think it was good for ya.
I replied ... Really, and the tobacco you sell is

He looked at me as if I had 2 heads and was speechless
:p

I'm an Aries and was born in the year of the dooosh and I have a fun idea. What is the name of the shop and city/state? We can find the local number, have a date set and a bunch of us can call asking for e cigs and e cig accessories.

OCCUPY the smoke shop!!

I'd like to think I would have told the guy off. In reality, I'd be too busy laughing in his face.

If I owned a tobacco shop, I'd like to think that I'd be smart enough to cater to both types of customers. It couldn't cost much to devote some shelf space to a new product. If your current customers switch over, then they could still be your customers. If you don't have vaping hardware and supplies, you just lost sales AND a customer. Part of staying in business is understanding the customer's needs.

All the tobacco shops around here now sell ecigs. In fact, my first experience with one was from my local tobacco shop.

It wasn't a good experience(harsh, cold vapor that had me choking in a way cigarettes never did), and it wasn't a well made product so I went back to my regular cigs.

It wasn't until a friend posted on another forum about his switching to ecigs and putting down is smokes after 40 years that I looked at ecigs again. I'm a week in with no "analogs" (I hate that term, BTW) and happy.

I think tobacco shops could sell ecigs, if they bought quality merchandise and quality juices, but they are in a mindset to just stock what they know people will buy.

Wow what an idiot. He would get so much business if they carried PVs and accessories. Seriously, do you know how much I hate buying my stuff online and waiting for it to show up? If there were any local store that I could pop in any day of the week, buy my stuff, and have it right there and then....omg I probably wouldn't order online anymore.

For the majority of us, the only things available in actual stores are the crappy gas station pvs. No good.

Man that sucks, I've got 2 in my city within a few mile of each other, 1 of which is as good as an online store. The other one is pretty expensive though.
