ive tried this configuration for the iatty it works great at 3.7 on 1.1-1.2ohms, mileage may vary

and sorry for my very ugly drawing hahahaha

not sure if someone has tried or done this before

unbind the top smaller lenght wick and spread, acts as a extra ejuice holder
also unbind the longer lenght wick and trim off a little bit of strands if it doenst feed right
full close cone so when you draw it help pull a little bit of ejuice up " may vary havent tested opening up the cone a little coz it was working well "

With double stripping res. wire we are making a stronger coil..for this method (with wick over the res.) we should have a strong coil especially if we want to smoke at higher volts..also we have a little more contact between the wire and the coil. I tried to plug only one res.wire and it been cutted after some hours of use

Ahh I see thanks for the info someone asked me if I was doubling the coil and I couldn't figgure out why someone would lol.

Great idea Jeff! Thanks. Will try it soon. Currently enjoying the SS Mesh wick. How long before you have to change your wick with that setup? Thanks.

nanabols havent really observe how may days till i change wick, still playing around with the iatty changing ohms, want to find a good balance so i can use 3.7 and 6v-6.4 and 7.4 with the config i posted , i use 2ohms at the moment, can use 3.7v and 6.4v and when i go 7.4v i drip with to avoid burnt taste

sort of low/med/high depending on my mood hahahaha

at 3.7v i adjust the air draw so it produces good vapor / vapor not hot
its like using a normal atty with a ego batt but with better vapor and flavor

at 6.4v i open up the draw. good flavor and very warm huge vapor

at 7.4 full open on the air control, and drip to flood the extra top wick , awsome vapor and deep flavor, very very warm vapor , throat hit is very very strong

Ordered some of Madvapes nichrome wire and it's excellent. .10mm
This is my first coil using it so we'll have to wait and see how well it holds up over time....off to a great start tho

Para, is that the same as the stock wire? I've been looking for a R wire that would make it easier to get below 2 Ohms.

Mine best so far is dual coil. I've used wick from CE2 and put two 3.0om coils one after other with aprox. 1cm gap between them. Then put first coil (with wick) into cap, covered it with thin piece of wick , and put second coil (with wick) above. And connect them in parallel of cause. Resulting 1,5om great on 3,7v.

dual coil ??...nice idea!! I think that I understand the procedure but it would be very helpfull if you can upload a picture

by the way I am for the third week with the same setup and it still vaping great...twisted res wire at 1.5Ω @3.7V with the wick over the coil and not inside it..

Yes, but CE2 wick a bit thiner then the one came with iatty. It just right size to go into ceramic.

Been using the X-116 for a few weeks now, haven't changed it in at least 3 weeks. Went 2 weeks before I gave it a dry burn, wick was almost back to pure white afterwards.

Strangely, the last 2 days, the thing started leaking... not too much, but enough that it gurgles until half the tank is gone, and it's driving me crazy... I haven't taken it apart in almost a month, why did it suddenly start leaking (cone is all the way closed, no difference)... hmm

I've taken it off and blew out all the excess juice 5 times this morning, it just keeps flooding. Have to dump juice out, til about half full, for it to stop... but it didn't do this last week, just started (and nothing changed, only refilled it since it was built).

We've discussed that before, Imeo says it's basically impossible to melt them at the temps we generate.

Thats right, don't mind me, just a bad case of Cranial Gas atm.

We've discussed that before, Imeo says it's basically impossible to melt them at the temps we generate.

That sounds possible, this wick is 3 weeks old, though it's the X-116 which is pretty thick.
