He broke his ceramic cup trying to get it in. I told him h could get another one from a CE2 Carto.

Also, someone stated previously a tip on putting the cup and o-rings into the plastic use the flat side of a butter knife to push down on the o-ring while working it around. this will help in seating the o-ring and cup

What's this trick? Spill the beans please :)

I remember reading the CE2 info now, thanks Zor, I'm filing that away for when I need it.

Unfortunately the butter knife trick doesn't work for me I can't get them in... It's just sitting there staring and mocking me. I need to suck it up and wait for the right ones.

it might be CE2 ceramic cups instead of the o-rings. theres probably a variances in their sizes(nothing's perfect). anywho, you can prolly cruise down to the hardware shop and pick up some of the right sized ones if you were so inclined.

It won't be until monday to get them around here, unless Home depot has small metric O rings, Lowes does not. I will have to order them from grainger (which isn't open on Sunday) and it takes them a day or two to get them. Good thing I've got my UFS ;) I will survive

I got mine from Bruce at COV and I can assure everyone who is asking questions that Bruce sent them out configured correctly. I had no issues putting it together. The 2 o-rings on the ceramic fit into the delrin, but they need to be walked in, they will nit just push straight in withoutnalot of effort. It took me about 30 seconds to fit the ceramic into the delrin.

Imeo has already mentioned that he may have sent the wrong orings, you might be able to make them work but it does not mean that they are the right ones. I have mine up and running but I have had some leaking issues, nothing major but if I do not continue vaping it will slowly come out. I think that once people get the correct orings they will have a much easier time. I have mine setup with just one oring inside and one above and believe me I did try walking it in with lube and all and it is not going but I am glad you got your working 100%. You mentioned the air control and man does that set the iatty apart from other replaceable atties. Just to be clear, I am lovin this thing but I think the small quirks I am experiencing will be gone when I get the exact orings.

Me too, finally got one to go in but not both. When I get home from work, will start on the coil and try it out. Can't wait for diff. o-rings.

I tried the butterknife trick well before my first post. For me it only aided in pinching the o-rings in a bad way.

We were simply sent the wrong o-rings.

Home Depot doesn't have them either.

I checked Lowes and Home depot and they don't have them. I am just using it with one o-ring inside and the other sitting on top outside of it. It's working for now but I wish it was properly in there so my mind was at ease. Hopefully we get sent the correct o-rings so this problem isn't holding some people up.

Even with the o-rings not going in right I was inpatient and vaped and I have to say hours into it now I'm loving my i@y :thumb:

I'm going to make a trip to the local mom and pop ace hardware store tomorrow :) Sometimes they have the little things the box stores don't.

I might even resort to going to Harbor Freight and look for an assortment of O rings. I don't know if I can hold out for Grainger  or the post office.

Since I had extra CE2's and didn't have to worry about breaking the ceramic insert, I chucked it in my drill (very gently) with the O rings on it, I then sanded the o rings with 220 grit sandpaper, until with a little vaseline they squeezed in the hole. I guarantee mine isn't going to leak :D

Now I'm off to go tinker with mine :D I will still go look at Ace hardware tomorrow though... er later today when they open up :D

Day 3 of using my iAtty.

After my first rushed coil and assembly I have now learned how to use this properly. The secret to getting it right is in the assembly. As long as you get everything where it should be there should be no problems. I use my cone fully closed and have no issues with wicking. When winding my coils I make sure I get them close together but also as tight as I can. I make sure that all the resistance wire is in the ceramic cup and that the no resistance wire is wound on the connecting parts with no gaps. I sanded my ceramic stem down a bit so it seats nicely in the delrin and as I've said before even with just one o ring I have had no leaks.

I leave my iAtty sitting upright, unconnected overnight. In the morning it is always as I've left it with no leaks. Flavour and vape are excellent. The draw is a little airy but it's not a problem. I have had great results with different voltages but I need to do a bit more experimenting to find the right balance between voltage and resistance. Overall I am very pleased with the iAtty. It does exactly what I hoped it would and performs really well.

Just a suggestion but I think it would be a good idea to give folks the option to order extra wire, o rings and wick when ordering the Iatty. I would have gladly paid a few extra $ to make sure I had a good supply of everything I need. Now I've already used up most of my wire in learning how to properly wind the resistance, etc, and there's no place I can find to get more wire locally. I'll have to find some place to order from and wait. It reminds me of when I was a kid and my parents bought me some battery operated toy but forgot to buy the batteries. What a disappointment on Christmas day to to have this wonderful toy and not be able to play with it, haha.

Good Morning I, that's a no problemo. I don't mind. I would rather it be right, that way I'll truly know which is the best. I don't see it beating the UFS but I guess you never know. I have 5 GG tanks to keep me satisfied.
I have the right o-rings but I will be late to send them to Bruce. So Bruce has already placed his order for o-rings from a USA site. When he will receive them he will send them to all customers.

Is there a chance to leave you like this mudd?

I will very soon send 130m of no resistance wire and 500m of resistance wire to every seller smitty, no worries buddy. I am sorry about this but Iatty is a new product and I didnt make the right calculations for the demand:)
