The guy that I bought it from says that it is the real deal. Apparently he has some left over in stock from when it was available. How could I tell if it is sure enough authentic?

I would not know for sure, there are no markings that I can see on mine to check against.
Maybe someone bought more Iatties to sell them in later time. It doesnt look like a copy to my eyes, but who really knows.
I agree with Imeo ... This is like original iatty (as it seems from the photo) ... Maybe our friend could tell us the seller nickname ..Also I see that the wick is the first batch ..not the thinner one
So you had 5 o rings total or 4? If 4 largest goes on metal base below the threads. 2 smallest go on ceramic and middle goes between cap and mouthpiece.
$160 for it? Not as bad as some iAtty's that have been sold in the Classy's. You did fine. Sounds like you wanted one and you got one.
I paid $260 for my UFS from a guy in Poland but it had a SS mouthpiece, a SS window, and a 510 connection piece. It was worth it to me. It was in pristine shape to boot.

There is a new iAtty coming out but it is still in development so you are probably looking at 1-2 months before they are available.
I dont know if you will be able to buy the new Iatty because it will be expensive but it will be a surprise for all of you Wayne. It will be ready in 2 months as I see it or less. I think that when you will see it you will give the Iatty1 to your wife
