Well I'm thinking if I like the design of the new iAtty and if it would be easier for me to use (starting to develop some troubles with my right hand.) then I would sell my current iAtty. It doesn't make sense for me to keep a v1 of a product if I like the v2 better. I would just buy spare parts for the v2 model like I did for the v1 model. Currently I have a SS mouthpiece, two top plastics, one bottom plastic, and one base.

Typically if I like something I'll buy spare parts for it in order to keep it in service as long as possible or until I move on from it. I reasoned that, since I had melted part of the channel in the top plastic (because of the R/wire sneaking out on me) I needed two of those as spares. I have since modded the original top plastic to hold the XC-116 wick so you cannot even tell I melted it a little bit because that plastic material was removed to make the channels bigger for the XC-116 wick. That and I have gotten better about making the coils. Takes me too long though. So I still have two unused top plastics. Since I have had no issues with the bottom plastic I only bought one as a spare. Also, the base of the iAtty is threaded and subject to possible damage, I bought a base as a spare. I refer to damage by some freak accident, not because I don't understand the concept of cross-threading. :)

If I were to sell my v1 of the iAtty I would also sell the spare parts. I would sell them at my cost. Everything is still in like new shape. I don't believe in jacking the price because of availability. The world, I know, believes in that but I am instructed to be in the world, but not of the world.

I can also understand that others would choose to keep their v1 of the iAtty while also purchasing the v2. For me though, it would make more sense to go to the v2 model if it would help me with the coils.

Very nice Repent!

I paid premiums on a lot of my GG items too.

The idea of a family seems odd when the family members capitalize on sales to people who want what they no longer want.

I agree on the other hand I have gottem some really good deals from the GG family.

As for selling my iAtty I already sold 2 pretty much at cost and if I sell the 1 I have left I would probably do the same. I want to say the iAtty 2 would have to be pretty innovative for me to justify the cost increase but I know my addiction and I will probably have to buy 2.

To be honest AG, I always feel I've made a good deal if I can get what I paid for something when I sell it. Heck, I'm not out anything at that point and I also got to utilize that item, whatever it may be so I see myself as "winning twice as it were" because I recouped my investment and also got to use the item.

I ran into supply & demand.

It is what it is though...

Oh sure. I've paid more than what something originally cost because I wanted it badly enough. I go into every purchase with my eyes wide open. I know what something is worth new or depreciated but have paid more because I wanted it and could afford to pay more but I base that on my desire to have said particular item.

I did a query of my Quicken records and found that I've spent $4324 in the last 12 months on vaping stuff. Some of those purchases were one time use and I found I didn't like the item in particular. I saw a mention of someone ordering SS crimps for example (that reminded me I need to sell mine). I ordered a 100 along with the crimp tool, tried it with about 6 crimps and found it was not for me. Stuff like that. Need to get some of it put up in the classys.

For instance I know that the top plastics and bottom plastics as well as the iAtty bottoms are all sold out (actually just looked and they have top plastics in stock again). But as an example when the top plastics are sold out again, I could put the two I have up for sale for say $25 each instead of their regular price of $15 and someone somewhere would buy them out of desperation. Supply and demand as we all know. But if the shoe were on the other foot I'd want to be able to find that item at a reasonable price and would be tickled to find it being sold at it's original price. I'm a Christian so I don't believe in karma but I do believe in doing unto others as I would have them do unto me.

Why did you go ss over silver just out of curiosity?

Oh they were Sterling Silver. Should have remembered that SS also stands for stainless steel. I tried the crimps when the idea first started flying around the forum to see if it would work for me. Not so much. Always looking for the easier method, better way of doing something.

Ha as much my fault I didn't think sterling silver. If you do decide to sell them let me know I've been thinking about buying some for a while now.

Well as a matter of fact I am going to sell them along with the crimp tool as a set so to speak. Do you want them? I'll give you a better deal than buying them new since I did use 6 or so of them.
