For me this is a tough question. Made tougher after talking to a doctor in the waiting room of another doctors office. The conversation I had with him gave me a lot to think about, and search for on-line, unfortunately, I have found (not to my surprise) little info on what he was talking about. Basically our talk started over my MOD, which lead to the "I quit smoking with this", followed by his question on how I now feel after quitting. It's what he said next that shocked me.
According to him (only as I have found nothing backing him online..... not surprised as big pharma could have a hand in it), nicotine may actually suppress some illnesses. He want on to say that some illnesses being suppressed by nicotine will/may flair up after one quits nicotine for so long, and after they present, nicotine will no longer work in suppressing them.
I post her to see what others think of this as I can find nothing backing or disputing him online.
I did however see the pattern of some illnesses increasing in the world, and do wonder if a recent reduction in smoking could have lead to this as he suggests.
So, for the original question.... would I quit vaping. Yes, I would like to one day quit this as well. However, if his claim is true.... vaping may be helping in more than quitting smoking, and I (after smoking/vaping for this long) could run risks in quitting.
