NO argument on the talent you speak of, but methinks there's a new sheriff in town.

That's not to say they're going to win, but I ain't NEVAH seen anything like THIS before.

I'm thinking there is more than one new sheriff in town. Or maybe a couple gunslingers. But that just makes Wilson try harder..

BTW.... You absolutely cannot place a QB on the field better than Russ.
.......< Those were more periods. If he could get half a team, they would never leave.

DID you see him throwing those long 4 and 5 balls and they couldn't touch them !!!
That's why he gets the big money. But in the end it's the winners that are remembered. I was rootin for the Niners and was sad when they didn't win. But at least the prez congratulated the wrong state.

The NFL got ahold of me. They wanted me to sing the national Anthem but when I ask them, "Do I have to sing it to the Republicans too?" They were adamant that I sang it to everyone for $150,000. I told them I wouldn't do it. But I ask if I could still get the money. You know team spirit and all. They didn't have the same spirit I guess. So I ah, a...well...a

Must be nice to be so rich...

Heck - for $150k, I'd give Pete Carroll a freaking lap dance.

Which is about as bad as things could possibly get for me. Not sure about Slimy Pete's take on such a scenario though.

Sorry to hear you disapprove of the one coach that has put the Seahawks on the map. But I still love ya buddy.

Nothing personal at all towards you, John. YOU didn't hightail it out of dodge, leaving a bunch of kids (that you recruited) and their families to pay the price for YOUR sins.

Had he a shred of decency or integrity, he'd have stuck it out, and you'd have never heard of him (unless you're into college ball).

He's so slimy that even mucus grosses out as the sight of him. ;)

I don't know anything about it Dave and take no offense. Pete can take care of Pete and moi will take care of I. But, and I don't know, the guy I see here is a pretty good guy. Maybe he got a better offer and more money. After all coaching is just a job like any other job. But like I said, I don't know I'm just thinking out loud.

And a TGIF to you too, Mistah Five!

Just for your knowledge, Petey boy didn't skate away from USC for a better offer. He ran away before the tax man came to collect his due.

A timeline of USC turmoil, scandals and coaching upheaval
As I read the article the players were the ones that caused the scandal. All it said was Pete left because he was hired by the Seahawks. Going from a college coach to an NFL coach looks like a better job to me. I have no feelings for Pete one way or another. It takes more than a head coach to play and win at football but I don't see he did anything wrong. He was mentioned on one line where it said Seattle hired him. You can't blame him for what them other player did but It does nothing to our friendship what you think of him. I don't think a lot about him good or bad.

Just so I'm clear, John, there is absolutely NO mental association (for me) between you and Pete Carroll. My opinion of him was cemented long before we ever met. TOTALLY separate, so please don't misread that as something directed at you. He's the coach of the football team you root for. Nothing could be less important (IMO).

You and I would disagree on the assessment. A coach, or any manager of any group of people, bears responsibility for the actions of the group. He would have, at the very least, been aware of what was going on around him. Of that I have zero doubt.

He skipped town like a bratty teenager who got caught stealing a candy bar, and left a lot of kids and families in a lurch. Integrity, none.
