Another great giveaway from our friends at innokin this week, their new Platform Series RTAs the Ares 2 and Ares 2 LE are up for grabs, and 10 lucky winners will get one of each.

This time we're lucky to have the vaping legends @Dimitris and @pbusardo on hand to answer all your questions!

All you need to do to enter is post in the thread and say hi, ask the guys a question about the new platform series RTAs if you have one, or anything else you could use their input on, like was the crab juice really as bad as it looked (old school vapers know what I'm talking about).

The contest will last for 2 weeks and we'll draw the winners soon after, good luck!

How come you made both the RTA's MTL? couldn't you of made one of the models STL ? so people have a choice i think most people use straight to lung these days? still, i hope i win to try one of these and it might change me back to an MTL vaper.

I just wanted to say Hi Phil & Dim!! Can I congratulate y’all on such a fantastic RTA!! It looks awesome, especially The LE ones!! Not a question, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate you catering to just about everyone with the Ares 2-I think you could even get a restricted DL out of it-congrats guys!!

Hello guys - just wanted to drop a hi from down here (Brazil) and ask: do you think that the Ares2 boosts any particular kind notes of juices - like it will perform even better with tobaccos, desserts?

I have a 22mm Ares 2-I haven’t tried to get a DL out of it as it’s awesome as an MTL-but if ur genuinely interested & would like to know, I could give it a go & get back to you-I’m fairly sure it could be done by having all 5 ports on the AFC open & the under coil airflow all the way open too, but I’m sure it wouldn’t be loose-definitely a restrictive DL. If ur really wanting loose, & can get ur hands on the 1st ares (there are still a few out there) I would go that route-the first ares was quite loose-I would personally even say it wasn’t really an MTL.
Phil & Dim are known (pretty much solely) as MTL Vapers who concentrate on getting smokers off deadly combustible tobacco-in my experience, MTL is where I went first when I gave up the coffin sticks-so, I guess u could say their lane is MTL. IMHO, if ur known for something, & do it well (which they do) it doesn’t really make sense for them to stray from their lane into something they don’t have as much experience in/know as much about DL-especially when there are so many reviewers out there that make DL tanks-u could probably say the market is a little saturated it that respect-makes sense for me that they did something different, in a market that is a little less saturated than the DL market.

I’m loving mine with deserts, which I just about solely vape! I can’t comment about tobaccos in general-but it is wonderful in a “kinda tobacco” juice I get here in Australia from Vaporeyes-it’s called Alpha & Omega-SO Yummy!! (It’s described as banana cream/pistachio/peanut/vanilla & mild pipe tobacco on the Vapoureyes website)

I've never tried an RTA before. I've only vaped with RDA:s and been a bit scared of how complex it seems with RTA:s.

Whould you recommend your new ones to a beginner or are they only for veteran or advanced vapers?

The idea of the Ares came at a time where the market was flooded with DL products. We wanted an MTL that was affordable and easy to build for people to learn the pleasure principle of RTA's. Of course now MTL made a comeback so maybe we respin the wheel and do some RDL and DL stuff

Yes you can get a restricted RDL not DL with it!

I get good flavor from all profiles, however our Italian buddies do say that tobaccos work best.

The Ares is designed for you then. Everything you need is included, the deck is super easy and there are plenty of helpful tutorials. You cant go wrong

You may or may not want to know. Google it if you really do. I wish I didn't. Just make sure you aren't at work, have kids around, etc. And no, it didn't originate from howard stern, he just made the audio clip semi-popular. It came from a source more foul than he.

Not being rude but you won't get much help in a contest thread (even though it's a contest for the very product you need help with) nor is it the right place to post for help. Start a thread under the RTA subforum. You'll get a lot more help that way.

The Ares was my first RTA, ended up buying 2 more. I’d also tell any beginner that I haven’t found an easier tank to build on. Never leaks either and I carry it around all the time

My only question would be why did you decide to include the 1 ohm coils with the original?

Flavor definitely improved once I went to a 2.5mm, 5 wrap. As a beginner it took me awhile to figure it out though tbh. But flavor is also subjective I guess
