"But I don't think studies are necessary when all the things in e-cigs are things that have been used in other products for years. I"

Well i mean, I think it also matters how you are using those products. Something can be safe to be used on your skin, but not to be swallowed. Something can be safe to be swallowed but maybe not inhaled. I think the real question is what are the effects when you take whatever substances that are in E-cigs, all of them, heat them up to a vapor and in hale them in a concentrated stream of vapor for X amount of time.

Its really hard to say well they should outlaw cigarettes. Cigs have been around a long time, and the tobacco companies still have a lot of money, even though they are losing recent battles. The e-cigs have not been established yet, so its easier to outlaw them. Plus they have an easy reason to give to ban them whatever the real reason is. But even so. make believe the FDA was a righteous group. If they follow the law, they still cant approve them because nicotine is a drug. and the device has never been tested here at all. But if that is the case, shouldnt they be banning the nicotine, not the device? If i wanted to buy an E-cig with 0 nicotine, why would that fall under their juristicion?

.
But if people are already inhaling nicotine in nicotine inhalers, what's their beef, other than the pharmaceutical companies not getting their cut?

I don't know if I could ever live in a parallel universe where I could make believe the FDA was a righteous group. :p

well i mean for one the nicotine in inhalers are regulated with low amounts of nicotine. I get your point and agree. They are not in the business of e-cigarettes, they are probably making money somehow from the other products pharm companies manufacturer. Its either the tobacco companies fulfilling our cravings or the pharm companies. Two industries with much money and power.

But like i said, even if the FDA was a righteous group. They probably would have to test to see what the health risks of e-cigs were before regulating it right? And I think people here really want regulation, they want a source to trust to get their e-liquid juice. I think when the right people either realize or determine that E-cigs might be a profitable thing to venture into, then things might start to change. But even then big pharma wants to keep selling their stufff! so they will make it difficult.

again, take the engine for example. Even if GM or one of these other car companies had the technology to revolutionize how a car works without gas and oil. U think they could be like oh we got an advantage lets make billions and launch it? There is way more that goes into it. They are tied with oil companies, which are tied to other companies that make parts for them, The engine is tied to other companies, each part is being manufactored with machines specifically designed for each etc etc. And the heads on top are already making billions. Why change? why reinvest into something else if you really dont have to? Your better off maintaining stagnation.

Sell propecia to the bald, give kimo to the cancer patients, Give cocktails of drugs to HIV, Cure cervical cancer with a vaccination! *more profitable to do so. And give the patch to the xsmoker.
